This is the most corrupt clout chasing rescue in our area. It’s sad because more and more things are coming to light not just my own personal experiences with this. The head honcho have you ever seen her handling a dog no exactly ever wonder why? Because she doesn’t know the first thing about dogs or maybe it’s the fact that she LEGALLY isn’t aloud to own dogs in her possession it’s really disturbing to think about where all her donations go but don’t worry we’re looking into that and how it is she has no job but can pay out the wazoo for her personal training and nutritionist this empire built on deceit and lies is soon to crumble. What happened to their mission they don’t even ever help people who lose their pets anymore just go rob puppies from the Rez and the occasional mangey dog that anyone can go and help on the Rez how bout help yavapai county like your name says
Yavapai Humane Trappers is by far the most dedicated animal search and rescue out there. I have volunteered with YHT going on 5 years and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Katrina the founder and President is the most compassionate and passionate person I have ever seen in my life.
All the volunteers are in it for the animals and deserve to be acknowledged. Please support the work they do
Outstanding organization helping hundreds of dogs every year. They are the premier organization for rescuing and trapping lost and abandoned dogs all over Yavapai County and beyond when requested. The professionalism and care these animals receive when they are in their care is exceptional. Dogs are placed as quickly as possible into loving foster homes as they search for forever homes. Their new cat rescue is now doing the same for lost and abandoned cats! Outstanding organization!
I have been a volunteer for about a year. I have been a foster and worked with the owner Katrina Karr. She is dedicated to this worthy cause of saving animals and finding them a place to call home. I highly commend the amazing work they do. Others may want to smear her character, but we have all fallen short. I would like to put them side by side. I am thankful Katrina stays on the path to rescue and restore these animals. She truly has a passion for helping others. I would highly recommend this organization as a volunteer and a foster fit!!
2 1/2 months ago my wife fostered two 5 day old rescue puppies. I'm a 60 yr old disabled vet who has suffered from depression and PTSD for most of my adulthood. My wife is a saint. Everything was going great with the puppies and over time I developed a very close bond with the female. I loved her. My wife and son told me how I've changed since the fostering began. She was a miracle to me! Now I know how emotional support animals can greatly improve and broken person's life. I told Yavapai Humane Trappers all about it and that I wanted to adopt her. First I was told no, then they they would need to think about it. I was shocked. Think about what? When the pups turned 8 weeks old they told me no. I panicked, how could they say no? They KNOW how she helps me. I refused to give her back, they came with the police.
When I gave her back it destroyed me. This pup helped me in so many ways and I loved her. Yavapai Humane Trappers sent harassing text messages to my wife saying that I was a thief for keeping the dog and that I was using my disabled veteran status to steal. How absolutely ridiculous and offensive. She went on a tangent about me being a dumbass and on and on. She said the adoption is all about the dog, not the owner/parent. What a piece of work she is. My baby was adopted 3 days ago and they made sure to call my wife and happily tell her. They also said the new family didn't want their picture taken, which ALL new adoption families do. I wonder what she told them about me to scare them. They lied, they were cruel. My image of animal rescues has gone down the drain.
