Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Family Services, Human Services
Mission: Better Boys Foundation was founded in 1961 by Joe Kellman to inspire and empower youth, families and communities to make choices and changes with a positive effect through traditional and visionary approaches. It addresses the issues of disadvantaged youth, homelessness, community and economic development, and counseling and education.
Results: Impacting the lives of over 150 kids daily, we have been working hard to increase funding and support the needs the youth and their family.
Geographic areas served: Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood
Programs: kidLAB, YouthLAB, urban gardening, art, digital music, tap dance, knit, creative writing, film, and bicycle mechanics
