Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services, Personal Social Services
Mission: Formed in 1998, Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit volunteer organization that provides rides and other direct services and information to assist our neighbors in their daily lives.
Results: In 2018, 74 volunteers provided 2,694 services and driving 50,702 in their own vehicles to provide services. We offer a variety of services free of charge and our most requested service is a ride to a medical appointment, thus providing access to health care in this rural community. We provide rides to local and long distance destinations for medical appointments, including Hanover and Manchester, NH, the greater Boston metropolitan area and VA Hospitals in New Hampshire and Vermont
Target demographics: our neighbors in their daily lives to remain living independently in their own homes
Direct beneficiaries per year: 262 people, providing 2,694 services and driving 51,000 mile to assist our neighbors.
Geographic areas served: Meredith, Moultonborough, Center Harbor and Sandwich, NH
Programs: rides to medical and personal appointments, grocery shopping, running errands, friendly visits and more.
