I started volunteering here in October 2022 and it has been a saving grace for me. I have ADHD, depression, and anxiety and I struggled with feeling lonely since I'm new to the area. Not only am I getting to fulfil my dream of helping and caring for horses, but I have also made new friends.
I highly recommend Steele Magnolia Sanctuary for individuals or families to come and volunteer or visit. They not only help in need horses, but they also provide free equine therapy for anyone who needs it. So, if you are someone who needs a break from work/school or if you struggle with any mental illnesses, this is definitely the place for you. No experience with horses is necessary and you can be as hands on as you feel comfortable. Once you come you will see why I find it so hard to leave.
