Mission: LEAF is a non-profit organization, building community, connecting cultures and enriching lives through the arts – locally and globally – with festivals, community events, and arts education programs.
Results: Since 2004, LEAF Schools & Streets has served over 42,000 youth locally through over 325 music and arts education programs. 5,000 youth are taught annually. Since 2006, LEAF International has served over 700 global youth in 9 countries through 11 music programs which connect them to their local traditions.
Target demographics: Primarily youth, but LEAF serves all ages in their mission to conect cultures and build community.
Direct beneficiaries per year: More than 5,000 students in 40 plus programs are served locally and over 450 youth in 9 countries are served internationally.
Geographic areas served: Buncombe County, North Carolina and Internationally in Tanzania, Guatemala, Haiti, Rwanda, Bequia, Panama, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Kenya.
