As a full time Mom of an LGBT youth, I want commend the LIGLBT Network for their services and advocacy for my entire family. As a young man 'coming out,' my son received not only support, but was welcomed into the larger LGBT community in which he is now flourishing. I don't know where we would be without them. Thank you.

they announced they raised over $250k in May 2013 for their 20yr gala and at the event asked for more money for a new van .... raised $40k during the event for the van .... it's now November and NO NEW VAN for the youth .... not the first time this has happened unfortunately where they ask for money and nothing happens .... corrupt.

This organization has lost its focus. It now spends most of its resources on organizing gay weddings, running a business expo, coordinating a parade and festival, and recently announced that it is starting to publish a magazine on gay culture. What happened to helping GLBT kids? It's a shame, because kids are literally dying and this group only cares about filling the pockets of its staff.
Suely Vera Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth: I am proud to be a LIGALY volunteer. I am mostly proud of myself for recently taking the step do something that helps so many nice, intelligent , creative and sweet people. We have to thank everyday for people that has ideas such as opening an organization to help these kids when they are most confused and rejected by everyone around them. Thanks to all of you at LIGALY. I bow for you! Love you kids! Suely Vera (Sue) Your Brazilian Friend 4 ever.
I only have wonderful things to say about LIGALY. I attended "Club LIGALY" as a youth and eventually became on of the original peer educators. My experience as a peer educator taught me so much about what youth are going through and how much LIGALY enhances their lives. The services they provide are so valuable. Long Island is lucky to be home to this organization.
