Mission: Mission Statement
In our efforts to create and preserve safe, decent and affordable housing, Downstreet addresses the shortage of affordable housing and the housing affordability gap for low and moderate income residents, in part, through rental properties and homes for sale.
CVCLT is currently the third largest Community Land Trust in the U.S.
Target demographics: communities
Direct beneficiaries per year: $1693 first time homebuyers, shepherded more than 1,650 people through one-on-one financial and foreclosure counseling, developed 410 rental units throughout Central VT, and formed partnerships with community service providers to improve the health and well-being of our residents.
Geographic areas served: Central Vermont
Programs: affordable housing, home-buyer education, foreclosure counseling, support and services for the elderly, property management, environmentally responsible renovations, and community development projects.
