Phil is one of the few people that I can unequivocally depend on. Every interaction is genuine and he remains focused on improving the lives of the people around him. This effort is focused through Keepers of the Legends. Whether he's connecting kids to people in the baseball community, honoring former major league players or simply providing baseball equipment to those less fortunate, his appetite for helping others is not easily sated. Phil is honest, tireless and authentic and these admirable traits shine through in Keepers of the Legends.
Growing up in a small town the opportunity for extra curricular activities were very limited. Fortunately we had baseball! I could not wait for summer tryouts and praying I would get on the same team as my best friend. That never once happened, but I got my first taste of friendly competition. I loved learning about the traditions of baseball, the superstitions and all the amazing stories. All of us remember our first home run, first diving catch and that come from behind win. Stories are what keep us living and giving is what keeps us going. KOL is an amazing organization that helps keeps the story of baseball alive in all of us and gives to keep baseball alive in communities. Proud to contribute to such a great organization!
We all have one or two, or in some cases a lot, but every story is a legend, to the storyteller at least. Baseball has that effect on those who play the game. You may have never pitched in the majors, won the national championship with a diving catch or hit a grand slam to win regionals, but we all have a story to tell of a time that made us feel legendary!
The Keepers of the Legends is the place to leave your story for generations to come! Please share and donate to spread the cause!
Philip and his team are passionate about their non profit! It is so exciting and interesting to watch where they will go next with it. Not only does Philip have strong knowledge and his own history with baseball he has a love that shows through when he is interviewing ..not to mention his way with keeping history alive for the next generation ..keep up the good work!
I have known a Phil Hannon for a long time. His passion to give back, his passion to share and involve others is an attribute we all should have. What he is doing will bring smiles to hundreds if not thousands of kids around the world. No more Mike cartons to field ground balls. They will now have a glove!
It is not too far reaching to say that Baseball is more than just a game—it's woven through the American (and increasingly, global) experience, transcending gender, race, ethnicity, geography, age groups, class...all those "differences" that can separate folks, yet Baseball brings us together in a common language, setting, love. Whether on the field, in the dugout, in the stands or watching/reading about via media, Baseball is that unique, timeless human endeavor that engages the individual and binds us with our fellow fan...even when they hold opposing views (e.g., AL vs. NL) or root for different teams. Everyone has their Baseball story; quite often many stories. This is exactly what the Keepers Foundation promotes and nurtures—so that the game can live forever and the stories never end. Phil Hannon's vision and commitment for the Keepers Foundation has enabled the organization to positively impact communities across the world...whether it's introducing youngsters to former MLB All-Stars to hear how they share the same passion, or sending equipment to and sponsoring teams halfway around the world. The Keepers of The Legends Foundation plays a vital role connecting, educating, and promoting 1-1 interaction with the history and future of baseball, at all levels.

Seeing and being a part of what this organization is doing for the game of baseball is beyond extraordinary. Some might say that the game of baseball is dying or is losing it's younger audience, but what KOL is doing is keeping the stories of baseball alive so the young players know what the art baseball really is and how we should value the game. Not only do the stories touch so many, but how the organization is always giving back with equipment drives, all-star games to raise money and having former, current, and future all-stars be a part of it. Great organization!
Philip Hannon and the Keepers of the Legends foundation instill a love and passion for the game of baseball. When talking to Phil or watching the videos that he posts, this genuine love for the game becomes contagious. The best part is that his vision for his organization is entirely pure. He truly wants to grow the love of the game and help people better understand the game so that they can develop a higher level of appreciation for the game. It is a personal task that he has undertaken that the baseball world truly appreciates. And when talking to Phil about his organization or baseball in general, he is all in. He gives you 100% of his attention and makes you feel like the most important person in the world.
This organization has meant a great deal to those community organizations they have worked with. Their Director has personally been involved with meeting the members and teams that have been assisted and his efforts have been greatly appreciated by those assisted and received praise for his efforts.
