ForcesUnited (previously Augusta Warrior Project) was instrumental in the planning and execution of our CSRA Air Force Ball this year. Because of their contacts in the community willingness to sponsor our organization, we were able to link up with many local businesses to help us put on the annual Air Force Ball, celebrating 71 years of service and honoring our service members. We could not have held such a great event without their help and support.
It was truly a pleasure working with all of them, and we are so very grateful.

Augusta Warrior Project truly is one of those nonprofits that is all about their mission. They care so much about the people they help and go above and beyond to help veterans in any capacity they can. When the AWP team heard that a veteran that was diagnosed with brain cancer and his family was in need of help they sprung into action to facilitate the wife having a new laptop to replace the failing unit that they currently had. This allowed the family of the veteran to be able to keep family informed, pay bills, and survive while trying to work with the warrior's illness. Augusta Warrior Project never ceases to go the extra mile to be the change our city needs.
As an organization tasked with assisting military Veterans desiring community employment, we have found Forces United to be a most valuable partner in meeting the needs of our area Veterans. The services they offer and the individual attention they have provided to employment seeking Veterans have contributed greatly to our success and most importantly to the happiness and wellbeing of area Veterans.
Forces United has provided, (free of charge), reference materials for employment search, information on Veteran benefits, and regular onsite visits to our facility to provide personal assistance to Veterans in need.
Their efforts have produced results for which we are grateful.
We look forward to a continued long and productive relationship with this outstanding Community Partner.
Every person that is attached to this organization carries a true passion for helping and paying it forward. I hope others that are looking for an organization to support will consider Augusta Warrior Project.
From the time I met Rick Herring who works with Augusta Warrior Project I was impressed by the amount of people who they were able to help find jobs, find affordable housing, get them used furniture, ask the public for bicycles for transportation for men to get to their jobs, talk to a warehouse business and get them to donate supplies to rebuild a vetetan’s widow’s house that had burned down, help a dying veteran plan his funeral and even get donations for him a new suit to be buried in. All of these amazing deeds show the love Rick Herring has for people, especially veterans. One most wonderful thing he does nearly every Saturday is bicycle with veterans, many of whom have no legs. It would be a well deserved acknowledgement to award and highlight Augusta Warrior Project. Rick Herring was our pastor at Mesena United Methodist Church, Warrenton, Ga.
The Augusta Warrior Project, Inc. has been a great partner with us, Lower Savannah Workforce Development Area (LSWDA), over the years. Early on in our partnership we discovered the commitment of the team to improve the lives of those they serve. We have similar missions serving varied and sometimes the same customers and the collaboration has been very beneficial. At a minimum, we share weekly notices of hiring events, job orders, "hot jobs" and coordinate job fairs, all with the intent to assist those we serve with employment and life changing opportunities. Even though we are a bordering state (SC) to the Augusta (Ga.) Warrior Project, Inc., they have always reached out to us and we have developed a strong partnership!

Augusta Warrior Project is a great nonprofit helping Veterans and the community as a whole. It's a leader among it peers as an outreach nonprofit for employment assistance in the CSRA.
I was in need of a job and I had been seeking one for a year. I met Rick Warren at a prayer breakfast and at the end of that event I was asked to give him a call after our brief conversation. I felt like there may have been some premonition in that meeting. About a month later after meeting him there, I am now employed on a brand new job and he helped me through Augusta Warrior Project! We need more people and projects like this. God Bless.
I have been a huge fan of the Augusta Warrior Project (Forces United) from the day I started working in Augusta, at the VA. The professionalism and commitment they have for the veterans and their dependents is unmatched. It is a pleasure to work with them and share in their dedication and love for those who served and their dependents. God Bless Forces United!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Rick always have my agency in his mind. About 2 months ago he call me to find out if any of my families will need beddings. Mr. Rick said the hotel will be giving away gentle used beds full and kings. Asked me how many I would like for him to hold for my families. My families did not have reliable transportation but Mr.Rick did everything in his power to make sure my families received the beddings. My families did appreciate the beds and was so thankful to be blessed and their children have a descent bed to lay down. Again thank you Mr. Rick for your generous and compassionate spirit. He also email me jobs that are hiring and seeking immediate help. Thank you so much for everything you do. God bless.
It is with immense pleasure I am writing about services and ongoing support the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (CNVAMC) and the Fisher House have received from Augusta Warrior Project (AWP). The Director of Staff & Operations for Augusta Warrior has been an exceptional benefit to our organization.
The Director of Staff & Operations and AWP have worked, sponsored, and supported many additional programs that would not otherwise have been possible without the partnership with AWP. Since 2012, AWP has provided over $101,887.53 in donations to CNVAMC to include a new commercial ice maker, two new dishwashers, two new microwaves, new security system, new generator, hotel vouchers, gift cards for Veterans in need, and many other valuable items. AWP is remarkable and truly demonstrates dedication and compassion about assisting Veterans and their families in any way possible. Our experience with ForcesUnited has been wonderful.Rick Herring with Augusta warriors project is so helpful. He is always referring us wonderful candidates. Rick also helps us when we are in need of candidates by posting our jobs on his end and letting us know of available candidates on a day to day basis. We enjoy working with them.
I witnessed firsthand the work of Forces United (AWP) and have been honored enough to assist the organization in getting veterans back to work. Their reputation among veterans and the community as a whole commands great respect. If I won the lottery today, I would give them whatever they needed to accomplish their mission.
The Pate Way story is a fine example of how Kim Elle and the Augusta Warrior Project helps veterans. Pete was badly injured in combat and was in great pain. His scheduled operation was 8 weeks in the future. Kim Elle, the CEO of the Augusta Warrior Project, made some phone calls and within a few days, Pete. got the operation he so badly needed. He is very grateful. I encourage everyone to contribute to this most worthy cause.

Last year Augusta Warrior Project said all funds raised stayed in the community, but two months later they opened an office in Charleston, SC. Additionally I've read other reviews and talked to other donors to find out that the CEO never follows-up, always has a story, and is generally not honest. I will NEVER donate to Augusta Warrior Project again!!!!
I am currently serving in the armed forces and also a full time college student. Due to some financial situations I was unable to pay rent this past June. I called around to many organizations and was turned away because I wasn't active duty. I found August Warrior Project and they were so friendly and willing to help no matter my status in the military. They were able to help me pay for rent so I wouldn't be evicted from my home. I am so thankful for AWP and their staff. They were very understanding and did not judge me. I would definitely recommend AWP to anyone who is need due to financial crisis. Thank you AWP you guys rock!
It is with great pleasure that I write about my experience with the Augusta Warrior Project. After experiencing a serious health issue I was unable to maintain my independence as a single mother. While I received some services from other organizations I was often ineligible for the most needed services. When referred to the Augusta Warrior Project I was not expecting any experience better than what I had previously received. HOWEVER, the staff of the Augusta Warrior Project FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. They took the time to listen to the issues I was experiencing, reviewed the services that were in place to help me stay in my home, counseled me on additional services available and went above and beyond to assist me. I was overwhelmed by their sincerity. I believe that if more organizations took the time that the AWP did to understand the needs of their clients our communities members would be better equipped to handle unexpected personal and financial obstacles. Myself and my family are so thankful for everything that was done to help us and hope to one day pay it forward to other families.

The Augusta Warrior project is geared more for women than men. They are racist against black men and discriminate against men in general it is part of united way and under the wounded warrior project umbrella.....
I am a retiree looking for a job, I meet came in contoact with this organization during a job fair. This company has done more for me than any other company. They got me interviews that others have failed to achieve. I am grateful for this company, Katherine Hyer has done a great job with the limited resources continue to make strives by leaps and bounds. Thank for the help, I would recommend anybody to this company.

I began my experience with the Augusta Warrior primarily as a client, a Veteran who would soon retire from the Army with over 20 years active federal service, but whose plan for post retirement quickly deteriorated due to cuts in Defense spending that affected how soon I would be able to follow my plan to become a Defense contractor. The AWP assisted me with one on one counseling for job searching as well as other organizations who were more than willing to assist and support Veterans. The AWP helped to open my eyes and see that there were a plethora of community organizations who could help ease my burden. The AWP also serves as an advocate to the Veteran's Administration, and assists Veterans quickly and thoroughly navigate the various pathways of support provided by the VA, which, if you have never had to do it before, or by yourself, could be quite challenging. Now, I do not pass up the opportunity to pass on the contact and FaceBook information for the AWP to any and all Veterans I see and know, so that they to can become more educated and prepared to face the various challenges of transitioning from Active Duty to civilian life. Please support this organization.
Wounded Warrior program is an outstanding organization, and should be on everyone's contribution list.
CSRA Wounded Warrior Care Project is an excellent organization with superior leadership at the executive staff level and extensive experience/involvement of community leaders at the board level. I particularly like this organization's willingness to seek out and embrace unique methods of generating support for soldiers such as their recent partnership with one of the all time great promoters, Gene SImmons/KISS who is donating a portion of their North American tour proceeds to support CSRA Wounded Warrior Care Project. Our family is honored to be involved with the work of this worthy organization.
