Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building, Education, Environment, Environmental Education

Mission: TLA formed in 2007 to provide educational programs, classes, information and demonstrations on sustainable living, appropriate technology, and alternative renewable energy, in order to educate the public about lifestyle options, sustainable living and the global dangers of environmental degradation. TLA offered classes, workshops, internships, and a website on emergencies prep, alternative energies and lifestyles, and building resilience against challenging times. After a decade, TLA anchored the Lifeboat in a safe harbor where visitors can enjoy a cup of sanity: a selection of the best substantiated videos, audios, website links, skillful articulate writing and satire, and some smiles to ease them on their paths. The efficacy of governance of the people, by the people and for the people depends upon a citizenry aware of the causes and consequences of their choices. The people's current sources of information, however, are almost universally focused as much or more on the revenue derived from retaining and growing their citizen audience. Such is not the condition shaping what information comes to us from Titanic Lifeboat Academy. With a mission to inform us of often disturbing conditions and trends untouched by mainstream media, Titanic Lifeboat Academy prepares us for an all-too-possibly difficult road ahead. We do well to follow along and prepare.
