The ABC House is a wonderful agency that helps children and families through a crisis that is hard to deal with. They also have a wonderful community outreach program that educates the public on many aspects of child abuse but most importantly what to do if you suspect a child is being abused. The staff is caring, sincere, and truly care about children.
I'm proud to have such an agency in our community and to be on the Board.

The staff and volunteers at the ABC House are so amazingly talented and compassionate. They truly focus and allowing a child to heal and regain their self confidence.
The new facility allows them to provide service to more families and in a timely fashion.
This organization is one of the most valuable assets Linn and Benton Counties has.

The staff at the ABC house go above and beyond to make every single one of the families they assist feel welcomed and cared for. The environment of the building is immediately inviting, from the bright colors and artwork to the beautiful fish tanks that children instantly flock too. The staff genuinely care about the families they are supporting, and it shows.

I was fortunate to work at ABC House for several years and I remain passionate and connected to the organization and its mission. It was an honor to work with a group of people that would each day bring compassion, skill, sincerity, and understanding to every interaction with service users and participants.

It was never lost on staff and volunteers that a child or teenager (and their caregiver) who comes to ABC House for a service may be showing up on the worst day of their life. We also appreciated how incredibly hard it must be for a child to talk to a forensic interviewer, doctor, and counselor -- adults they've never met before -- about things that are very deep, dark, and scary. So it really says something when child after child after child would report after their visits at ABC House that for the first time they felt heard in a forensic interview, and that they were relieved and affirmed by talking to a kind doctor who could explain things about their body reassuringly and without judgment. It says something when resiliency, healing, and transformation are common occurrences. It says something when children eagerly talk about the mindfulness, communication, or grounding practices that their counselor at ABC House taught them, and that they are using that practice to meet each day with courage and self-compassion. It says something when ABC House is the first call that a school, youth-serving organization, or faith community makes when they are seeking a training on child abuse prevention. It also really says something when community partners are proud to collaborate with ABC House and when local businesses and community members line up to share their hard-earned money.

It says that ABC House is the kind of place that, while we all wish it wasn't needed, will always provide the highest quality services for our community's most vulnerable members and make our community a safer place for kids to grow up.

I am very impressed with how important trust and caring is for these children. The extent the staff goes to, from the doctor's exam, to the setting of the discussions, to the programs of the trainings are absolutely out of this world. It is truly an honor to be able to participate in helping this worthwhile service.

The staff at ABC House embody compassionate work and give their all to help children and families navigate a process that can easily be overwhelming and confusing. ABC House is simply amazing. The work they do for children and families is exceptional. They also happen to be one of our area's best run nonprofits. They not only do the work of heros each and every day, they do it with grace, dignity and diligence. It is one of the crown jewels among our local nonprofits, and it's leadership is second to none. If you need their services, you will find an incredible group of people dedicated to helping. If you are looking to volunteer, you won't find a better organization to be a part of.

I have been working at ABC House for about 6 months now and it has been wonderful. The work that we do can be difficult, however the support from my co-workers is amazing and I really do love working here. The work that we do for our clients served is so meaningful, for both the staff and I hope for those that receive our services.

As a board member for ABC House, and also as someone who lives and works in Linn and Benton Counties, I am grateful everyday for the work that ABC does. They not only advocate and provide services for kids in our community, but take great efforts to educate the community on what child abuse looks like and ways to prevent it. They work hand in hand and collaborate with many of our community partners and non-profit agencies to make a real lasting change in the lives of children in our community.

ABC House opened a door for me when I was a social work student. They did not have a set program for internships, but they were open to work with me and offered a warm experience.

As a Board Member for ABC House, I have been incredibly impressed by the talent of the staff and their passion for helping victims and their families overcome child abuse. The level of attention towards ensuring children get the help they need without reliving the trauma by introducing technology and collaboration with partner agencies is remarkable. The detail put into each aspect of the experience for a child ensures that a child is listened to, cared for, and counseled through a compassionate experience. Further, the missions and objectives for educating the community at all levels on child abuse, and how to identify signals of child abuse works towards prevention so children are free to be children.
