This place is a nightmare at least one staff member and the receptionist that answers the phone is . When my son arrived at the group home his case manager Karen Stickler never bothered too make sure he had needed discharge paperwork for his meds. After she was reported she has had staff members calling everyday five days a week pretending to be working, As well as stopping by the residence every single day . This has felt like highschool drama and has been going on for months. However her supervisor was very responsive too my complaint but Ms. Stickler should not be employed there.

As one ages and retires from the everyday workaday job, you find that you have time on your hands! Yes, your schedule fills up with "to do" lists. But there is still time, still a void that you seek to fill. I had read a brief article about the Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley Radio Reading program looking for volunteers. Having been a professor, and use to lecturing for hours at a time -- this seemed like a perfect fit. Reading various items to allow the visually impaired to "hear" current news, amazing stories, unique perspectives piqued my interest. Applied, interviewed -- and they accepted me as a reader! WOW! And it is an AMAZING REWARDING OPPORTUNITY! It has been my hope and prayer that I can connect with the listeners and bring wonderful information into their lives -- as well as enrich MY life through reading the vast array of articles expanding the depth and breadth of knowledge -- for ALL of us involved!

I was suprised to see just how many resources this organization had to serve the children in the Dayton area as well as around the world! They really made the kids feel as if they were family.

This foundation changed my life. Because of these women, I was able to continue attending my classes and finish my radiologic technology associates degree. I will be graduating this April. I will be forever grateful for the kind words and the financial support these women gave me. I cannot wait until I am in a position to donate and give back to them what they gave me!

I have been volunteering at Reach Out for almost 20 years. It has consistently been one of the most satisfying clinical experiences that I get to participate in. Families are genuinely appreciative for the staff and all of the volunteers. We feel like we are truly making a difference for the families in our community.

The partnership between UPS and Agape started 3 years ago when I toured their facility during a day of caring event. During the tour, the founder, Steve Gieb, mentioned that nearly 1000 youth in the state of Ohio “age out” of the foster care system, with few resources for stable employment or an opportunity to continue their education. The youth emancipating from foster care at 18 years old, have a higher risk of dropping out of high school, being homeless, becoming teenage parents, being unemployed, being incarcerated or worse. After hearing Steve talk about the potential hardship these youth face when they turn 18, I started thinking about how good UPS has been to me and my family while I was a young adult. I connected with Steve after the tour and committed to finding or establishing a way for UPS to help the youth in Agape’s Bridging Hope and Futures program and aid their transition from foster care to personal and financial independence. I explained to Steve that UPS has a culture of longevity being in business for 110 years, a culture of partnership with ½ million employees across the globe, and many career advancement opportunities. UPS is not just our driver delivering your daily Amazon Prime packages. We are the 11th largest airline in the World, we offer financial services, we provide insurance, we have our own IT resources, our own fleet management, even our own proprietary delivery/routing software. Steve and his team was excited to start working with a company like UPS and since have expanded the ways for UPS to help youth in their Bridging Hope and Futures program.<br><br>So how does this partnership work today. UPS Sales, Operations and Human Resources partners in West Carrollton put together a variety of presentations for Agape’s youth that teach professional skills and awareness, as well as, a discussion of the long-term benefit of choosing employment with UPS. If UPS fits their skills and capabilities, a mechanism has been created in the application process to identify Agape as the employment referral. Once employment starts, a mentor is appointed to the youth to provide guidance and encouragement throughout their first year. These young adults will be provided an opportunity to grow and develop within UPS, which is the same opportunity I and many others have been provided. The UPS team in Dayton, OH is proud to partner with Agape and we share a vision of taking our partnership that we know will work on our local level and bring it to a national level. <br>

We love volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Dayton. The passion of the staff and volunteers is unmatched.

Why I started volunteering for the Humane Society of Greater Dayton: I was adopted by a stray cat. One day when she came back she was pregnant. Well, we took care of momma & babies & even tried to adopt out mom & kittens with no luck. So we contacted the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. They took them in, vetted them & got all adopted to loving homes. A few months later 3 kittens were abandoned at my brother-in-law's work place. Again I contacted HSGD & again they stepped up to take in the kittens, vetted & adopted them out. So I had put 8 cats into their system & felt I needed to pay back. So for the last 3 years I have been a regular volunteer at MeowZa! Cat Boutique which is a satellite store of HSGD & we adopt out cats & have merchandise for sale. While I may not be able to adopt all the cats/kittens, I can help them find their furever homes. Also, I am able to interact with so many more cats/kittens & I get my kitten fix & don't take them home. I would be so thrilled & honored to be able to win a grant for HSGD!!! (I have 4 cats of my own which is why I was not able to keep any the cat or kittens)

I love this Church. Been a member since I was a child. May 30, 1993. I sing with my children and my brothers and sisters. I would have to Thank my grandma for taking me to church and teaching me about god and Jesus Christ. I thank this church for everyone and everything they do. I Thank God that I am blessed. In Jesus Christ name, amen. My brothers and sisters of Christ are my family. Family and God are my rock.

The Dayton Art Institute is much more than a beautiful, historic building that houses art from around the world. It is a living, moving reminder of how important art has been throughout the ages and spanning many cultures. Art does indeed change lives, and artistic expression opens a window into other times and worlds. The museum's collections are outstanding because of the dedication of a number of art professionals, supporters and collectors who have grown the collection into what it is today. The museum is a welcoming and inclusive place, encouraging people of all ages and ethnicities to experience and love art.

Bethany Village robs senior citizens of their <br>life savings. The care is mediocre. I pulled <br>my dad out of this over prices dump. <br>Do not even consider putting a loved one <br>in this hell hole!

They are compassionate and caring. I can only say wonderful things about this group!

I have been very impressed with the growth and vibrancy of the programs and activity of Dayton History. They are truly reaching their goal of being the historian for the entire Miami Valley. They chronicle the entire history of the region from the earliest settlements, through the Valley's heyday as the "silicon valley" for the first half of the 20th Century, through today. Their artifacts and displays offer rare glimpses into the unique and too often unsung details of life in the region.

Our family’s adoption goal was to adopt female infant. We met Action and their staff at an adoption fair in Centerville. Having looked at other agencies and having prayed over a period of a year we went back to Action. We went back to Action, because of their open door attitude; everyone was welcome to explore the adoption process at the Agency without pressure. Further, the reviews from foster and adoptive families on Action’s website were very encouraging. Most of the other agencies we looked at seemed very impersonal, very formal and had little online information. <br> <br>After some training with Action, we quickly realized that we might have to wait a long time before we would be matched with an infant and Action was honest enough to tell us the same. They even gave us the option to go to another Agency more specialized in infant adoptions. However, having prayed about the situation again, we believed that we should stay with Action and in a matter of months Action was able to find us a beautiful daughter. <br> <br>We are grateful to God for leading us to Action and we will be forever grateful for the support, advice and encouragement Action gave us throughout the adoption process. Even though things did not always go smoothly, we had a wonderful experience. Action staff are kind, knowledgeable, experienced and committed to find the best fit for children who need forever families. It is clear that the welfare of children is the Agency’s main priority. Further, they also provide their families with ongoing support groups and a children’s program were kids can make friends and grow. We have had no reservations about recommending Action to our friends and family and have done so on several occasions. Thank you Action for your selfless dedication to helping children find forever families. <br>

As President of HCST, it has been my privilege for my company to provide services to the AIDS RESOURCE CENTER OHIO INC for over 7 years as their primary consultant / support organization for IT services. As a vendor to a non-profit organization such as this, we are acutely aware not only of the client's financial limitations, but in this case, their diligence in making sure they receive the services they need, but also at a reasonable and supportable cost.

Caring Families In. was disbanded in December of 2008, and it's 501c3 status terminated. In June of 2009 another entity using the same name was reincorporated as a DBA, without 501c3 status.
