The founder Suna Senman-Lane had me totally enrolled in her passion for furthering youth transformation in positive and empowering ways! We both feel strongly that our youth needs to learn how to take 100% ownership of their future and create consciously the kind of life that is worth living!! They need to think global with a compassionate attitude and need to be encouraged to be in contribution to the causes that they want to see improved in the future! Being in contribution is a fundamental part of self-transformation and will eventually lead to global transformation. The WFOHD has actively reached out to schools and put out their vision to the teens and has had much success with enrolling volunteers to take on global causes e.g clean water for Africa, educational supply for Darfur, clean water for Haiti victims, sending volunteer nurse and water engineer to the regions through their fundraising efforts! With more funds the WFOHD would be able to spread their work further through education and active enrollment.

WFOHD invests in serving. We have no paid staff and make impact with volunteer support and donations. Our few resources make a huge Impact. For example, THe Youth Project teens have a 1 teen to 1000+ needy child impact. We empower young people to create a fulfill service projects. A group of 7 12-14 year olds served 10,000 Ugandan orphans by sending supplies, a nurse, an engineer and sustainability consultant. Another group of 5 12 year olds served orphans in Columbia. ANother group of 7 13 year olds - children in Haiti. We are building a base for a future world of peace and caring for each other through empowering our young people to initiate a life of impactful service now. Along with The Youth Project, we have a adult centered Gender Respect Program,as well as Health and Wellness Programs (Includes the Water Dollar$ Project that assists the Teens in getting water filtration systems to the children they serve). WFOHD's overall effort is multigenerational. We live by teamwork.
