Triangle Radio Reading Service is a nonprofit information agency providing current news, information and entertainment from the print media to people who are blind, visually impaired and physically disabled. Broadcasts occur 24 hours a day on an audio network of radio, television, streaming to the internet, and podcasts.  TRRS helps its listeners achieve their rightful place in society. 150 volunteer readers come into the studios in Raleigh to reach almost 20,000 listeners in 20 counties in North Central NC, and also throughout the world via the internet.

Triangle Radio Reading Service helps approximately 20,000 people who are elderly, blind, visually and physically impaired stay aware of the local news and information in the greater Triangle area of NC. Listeners are loaned a special radio receiver to listen to the programs which are read by 150+ volunteers. These programs are geared to enhance the quality of the lives of the people who use the service. A yearly survey of listeners is conducted to measure the quality and content of the programs.
