According to the American Cancer Society, more than 300,000 men and women, ages 25-54, will be inflicted with invasive cancer. For their more than 240,000 children, this creates extraordinary stress, fear, doubts, and anxiety---and even guilt---for them. Regrettably, very few programs are designed to focus on helping these children cope in this stressful, unsettled environment.

Reviews for The Childrens Treehouse Foundation

Rating: 5 stars

The Children's Treehouse Foundation provides invaluable tools and information to help professionals successfully implement the CLIMB program at their respective institutions. The program model is an excellent foundation which can be utilized as originally created, and it can also be built upon to develop additional programming. At our facility, we have expanded the model to include a parent group and teen group. We are so thankful to The Children’s Treehouse Foundation and CLIMB model for providing us with the foundation on which to expand and create such important programs for the children of our adult patients.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my everyday practice as an oncology social worker.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Incorporate training for a parent program.
