OACIC, Inc. is an non-for-profit organization devoted to help youths from low-income or no-income families in the city of Gonaives (Haiti) achieve their dreams of getting quality education. The organization primary goal is to award scholarships to qualified students with good grade so they can either pursue their education at some of the most respected secondary schools in Gonaives.
OACIC also conducts school supplies giveaways to students at Collège Immaculée Conception in Gonaives.
The organization conducts its annual meeting and fundraising gala in August every year. In addition, during Haitian flag day weekend, OACIC also organized a pool party fundraising event in Miami.

When the 3 beneficiaries of the OACIC 2010-2011 Scholarships sent a thank you letter months after receiving the scholarships, the contents of one of the letter deeply touched me for the recipient had lost his father a few montsh before the school year began, and he was uncertain how he was gonna pay for the school tuitions. After reading his letter, i feel proud to have contributed toward the cause.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would conduct more fundraising campaigns and develop partnerships with other organizations in the USA that are working toward the same cause.
