The library is constantly innovating to provide new and better service to customers. As examples: 1) we now have an extensive collection of e-books and e-audios that can be downloaded onto your devices from your home or office; 2) we also recently added the George and Barbara Bush Family Place for our youngest customers in the front of the Children's Area. Come and see!

The Barbara Bush Library Friends are critical supporters who help the library fulfill its mission of service to the Cypress Creek community. In these challenging economic times, they have helped the library to provide free children's programming, additional staff in peak seasons, supplemental materials for the collection, needed supplies, updated technology, and more. I am proud to work with these dedicated volunteers who make such a difference to the quality of the services the library can offer.

The Cypress Creek Friends of the Library, today known as the Barbara Bush Library Friends, provides invaluable support for the work of the Barbara Bush Library. This group provides both volunteer hours and monetary support that enhance the library's staff, materials, programming, and supplies. The Friends helped form the original Cypress Creek Library (a branch of the Harris County Public Library) in 1976, and later helped raise more than $500,000 to supplement the collection and furnishings of the new Barbara Bush Library which replaced it in 2002. Today they continue to make the library a wonderful resource for people of all ages and backgrounds in our community.
