Can the spirit and culture of craigslist be used to help strengthencivil society. We think so. We''re in the lab looking at various ways tospark meaningful community engagement.

Specifically,Craigslist Foundation is looking at building a platform for civicengagement. Imagine a place to learn, share ideas and connect withlike-minded individuals. Whether through localized needs matching ortaking the pulse of policy at any level, we want to help inspire andconnect people and communities on all levels to become active andengaged.

Stay tuned as we continue to refineour vision, look to many exciting partnering opportunities, and buildour roadmap to re-launching our online presence. We''re even lookinginto changing our name to better reflect our new focus. We plan to beopen and transparent through this process and look forward tocontinuing to connect people with the resources they need to buildstronger communities.

The folks at Craigslist Foundation are doing good work. It's a nonprofit that works to strengthen communities and neighborhoods.

I think we all need to work together to make things better for everyone: treat people like you want to be treated; and now and then, give the other person a break, like being your brother’s or sister’s keeper. That means finding ways to do it.

We’re a collaborative species, relying on each other to survive, and everyone needs to pitch in, now and then. CLF and their programs can help you do this.

Craigslist Foundation has put on Boot Camps for the community for years, is building LikeMinded a tool to share stories of community success and innovation and has also helped advance the U.S. service movement with allforgood.org.

Encourage folks to get involved with their programs and consider making a donation to them.
