I have seen so much hard work to raise money and provide support for those fighting this disease. It is amazing how much they do.
Our foundation works extremley hard on a volunteer basis. No board member receives any monetary compensation. We want every penny we raise to go to cutting edge research. we supply information and emotional support to patients and families. Our hard work work has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for cutting edge research at Duke,UCLA and numerous other research hospitals. Our mission is simple money fuels research and research gives us more treatment opportunities and better outcomes. We will continue to work hard until the cure is found.
Brain tumors are the number i cause of solid tumor death in children and the number 2 cancer killer of young men ages 19 to 39. There has not been a major treatment advancement since surgery some 85 years ago. Brain tumors rate of occurance are mich lower than many other cancers so the research receives much less funding. It is critical for non profit foundations to provide the money for research. The Brad Kaminsky Foundation through its hard work, has and continues to put together successful fund raisers. The Brad Kaminsky Foundation has donated over $425,000 to brain tumor research. Money fuels research and research gives us better outcomes.
I have been coordinating events and running the Brad Kaminsky Foundation for the past 10 years. It was started after Brad Kaminsky passed away from brain cancer at age 29. Brad's family and friends came together vowing to end this disease as a way to keep their promise to Brad that they would never stop fighting and that they would always help others battling brain tumors and cancer. Over the past 10 years the foundation has provided resources and support for those affected by brain tumors, worked with other organizations to raise awareness and funds, donated over $424,000 for adult and pediatric brain tumor research and works daily to end this disease.
