Through its advocacy and educational efforts, the zoa is at the forefront of fighting anti-zionism and anti-semitism both in the united states and abroad. Based on the work of the zoa, the organization is recognized as a most effective and credible advocate for israel and the jewish people.

Pound for pound, the ZOA may be the most important and effective voice that advocates on behalf of a safe and secure Israel. As the ADL becomes increasingly a left wing organization and losing its original mandate, in addition to the ZOA's traditional pro-Israel advocacy, the ZOA has become a staunch defender of harassed Jewish students on college campuses at the hands of groups like the Muslim Students Association- who has been linked to CAIR- an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Trial re: money laundering for terrorism.
In short, the ZOA was the ONLY major Jewish organization that foresaw that Oslo would be a disaster and spoke out against it. The ZOA also led the fight against J-Street- the "Jewish" organization funded by George Soros, Arabs, and others hostile to the Jewish state, that poses as a pro-Israel organization, preventing them from joining the Conference of Presidents.
Guidestar inaccurately lists ZOA as revoked. The organization's tax exempt stastus was retroactively reinstated to October 31, 2012 months ago. ZOA is listed on the IRS Select Check database of Exempt Organizations. All donations to ZOA are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
