West End Revitalization Association
PO Box 655, 206 Moore Rd.
WERACDC was founded in 1994 by community residents who were alarmed at the deterioration and lack of development in the West End Mebane, NC community. WERACDC determined the most critical need in the community was to build in infrastructure to support development, clear abandoned homes and lots, educate the community on economic issues and build affordable housing in the community. WERACDC has been very sucessful in our work. At this time WERACDC has leaveraged over 1.6 million dollars in roads, sewer lines and water lines into low income communities. WERACDC has gotten an major highway re-routed out of the West End Community, saving over 26 homes and families from being relocated. Over seven new home have been built in the West End since we began. Our goal is to make the West End and low income communities in the area economically and socially strong and vibrant places anyone would like to call home.
