Mission: Volcano Art Center was founded in 1974 to develop, promote and perpetuate the artistic, cultural and environmental heritage of Hawai`i's people through the arts and education.
Results: 2010 we hired a new CEO and realigned programs, staff and revenue-generating businesses, and opened Hale Ho`omana, a three classroom educational facility.
Target demographics: artists of all ages, cultures and abilities; we are centered in a rural, low-income and generally underserved area
