Mission: The LEV Foundation is committed to impacting youth to lead productive, balanced lifestyles. The youth are at the core of LEV’s novel approach, which strives to elevate awareness and empower individuals with a mindset to promote vigilance and responsibility. The LEV foundation will achieve its promise through innovative educational programs, special events, and community services.
Results: LEV is unique because of its diverse active membership and its approach to impacting the youth in the community, which includes youth led educational initiatives (“Youth-to-Parent” and “Youth-to-Youth” Education), and alternative transportation measures proactively aimed at reducing drunk driving in the greater Los Angeles area. LEV has created a joint youth-parent seminar series that aims at fostering better communication between parents and children regarding substance abuse, social and academic pressures, and similar issues facing the younger generation. Moreover, through its THINKSMART program, LEV has partnered with local taxi companies to offer discounted taxi vouchers to minimize the cost of safe transportation.
LEV is also working in association with national organizations, such as RADD (Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) and the American Jewish Federation, in order to concurrently affect a fundamental shift towards promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle. It is through these partnerships, and through LEV’s regional THINKSMART campaign, that LEV is able to positively encourage bar and club patrons, restaurant consumers, and social guests to “THINKSMART” and plan ahead to make sure that friends do not drink and drive. Through these unique programs and initiatives LEV addresses all these issues through every platform available; the classroom, the community as well as on the road.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Throught its Mentorship Program, Youoth-to-Parent and Youth-to-Youth initiatives, LEV High School Clubs, THINKSMART Taxi Voucher Program, LEV Lifestyle Survey and the LEV Men's and Women's Basketball leagues, LEV directly benefits over 5,000 individuals a year.

The LEV Foundation has brought awareness and has taken an active role in combating drunk driving in Los Angeles. Armed with a passionate volunteer base, the LEV Foundation strives to achieve its goals through transportation solutions, community outreach, and education.
They've done an incredible job of rallying the troops of the young Jewish professional society to help raise awareness for a good cause. They stuck to their original guidelines and have worked hard to not get sidetracked from their initial goals of starting a program to prevent future tragic accidents like the one Danny was involved in.
Put lots of time, and supererogatory efforts into this cause, and I am extremely proud to be associated with them.
The Lev Foundation, in honor of Daniel D. Levian, has become an incredibly powerful force in our community in just a short while. This has been due in most part by a dedicated board, an incredibly supportive member base, and a willingness from other organizations to take part in collaborating efforts/events for the community.
LEV recognizes that in order to successfully address the underlying issues facing our youth, a multi-faceted approach – incorporating education and community wide outreach – is necessary to achieve a positive impact. LEV’s three Core Campaigns are designed to complement one another to proactively raise our generation to a new level of responsible, productive, and balanced lifestyles. Just as Jewish law imparts the notion that “The world stands upon three pillar”; so too does LEV believe that each Core Campaign cannot succeed without the others.
Daniel Levian, a loyal friend and spirit of the foundation, has been an inspiration to those who have put endless volunteer hours to do whatever it takes to keep Daniel's name alive.
