Spectrum's mission is to engage emplower, and advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.


Spectrum provides an array of outreach, education and advocacy services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (lgbt) people in marin, sonoma, and napa counties, with a focus on support and advocacy for lgbt youth and seniors. Major activities include twice-monthly support group for lgbt youth ages 14-19, a support group and luncheon series for lgbt seniors and information and referral about, and to, service providers who are accepting of lgbt people. In-service training are offered for providers serving lgbt youth and seniors. Community outreach and education programs increase community awareness and addresses stigma, bias, and anti-gay bullying. Working with teachers and administrators in miidle and high schools, spectrum provides anti-bias training and support for students, parents, and school staff.
