Po Box 20439 Savannah GA 31404 USA

The purpose of the foundation is the establishment of funds to be used for the advancement of savannah state university and for the promotion of the education and welfare of faculty and students. This includes raising and managing funds, providing scholarships, and renovating and operating student housing complexes on the campus.

The foundation primarily exists to support students and activities at the university. This fiscal year that support was provided by raising funds to award scholarships to university students and to provide support to university auxillaries. The foundation also exists to provide student resident housing to the students of savannah state university.

The Savannah State University Foundation has provided Savannah State University with so many tangible and non-tangible resources over the past 40 years, including scholarships for students, grants for faculty, and training opportunities for staff. Most recently, it acquired private and public funding for capitol construction and capitol improvement projects, enhancing its campus for more students to matriculate. It is currently building the University's endowment.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

market and promote its association with the university and its students.
