Project Rebirth is a film chronicle of the strength of the human spirit coping with disaster: the aftermath of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center. As a feature-length documentary combining 35 MM time lapse film photography of the rebuilding of Ground Zero with the intimate stories of nine people coping post 9/11, Rebirth is the only living record of the minute-by-minute rebuilding of the WTC site and the only long term public film record of nine people dealing with grief and trauma. It will be a key component of the National September 11Memorial & Museum and serve as the basis for a range of cutting edge teaching and learning tools for educational, training and therapeutic programs.
Programs: The major effort of Project Rebirth is to document the rebuilding through a high quality documentary film, employing time-lapse images archived over a ten-year period.
I have been involved with Rebirth for years and have given time and money to this cause. We have the opportunity to bring good things into the world, using lessons learned from something horrendous and evil. I am so proud of the work of Jim Whitaker and the whole Rebirth team and ask you please to take the time to learn more about Rebirth's mission and strategy to achieve it.
