Philadoptables is a philly based non profit that helps out local rescues with their mission to save animals in need. Having a community support system to back rescue organizations is vital to those rescues success. Philadoptables helps with providing needed supplies, monetary support , and helping raise awareness of animals in need.
Two days ago While working with Michelle who was helping me find an adult dog in need of a home I found out she spoke to my estranged daughter and within 5 minutes decided not to allow me to adopt. How cruel. A pet’s well being should come above anything but certainly not out of vengeance a person has for a person in good standing trying to adopt. Not all volunteers are people who are
Putting an animal’s needs first. This is so sad to uncover with so many unwanted animals being in need of a home.
I'm with a local rescue and Philadoptables has been extremely helpful generous with donations and cross posting events and animals needing homes.

This is a great organization that really cares about animals. They help save them, foster and get them forever homes through adoption. I am proud to write this review for them.
Philadoptables has been a tremendously supportive and effective partner for ACCT Philly. Whether it is supporting our food pantry for the public, providing enrichment for our shelter animals or collaborating with us and other humane organizations to fund raise, they always seem to come through. ACCT Philly is proud to be associated with Philadoptables.
I am a Board Member for this organization. We all volunteer 100% of our time to help homeless animals in the Philadelphia area. We really provide much needed medical supplies for ACCT Philly and enrichment for the animals, by providing structures, agility equipment and toys and treats. We also provide food for needy families to keep them together, rather than a family turning in a family member, because they simply can't afford basic needs for them. We have offered low cost vaccines, flea and tick medications. We hold adoption events, spend a week collecting food with Preston & Steve Camp out for Hunger (WMMR) to distribute this food to foster families and local rescues in the Delaware Valley Area. If you are in need, please reach out to us at info@philadoptables.org and we will see what we can do to help.

I am so proud to be a member of this board and secretary. We provide much needed medical supplies, enrichment for the animals, food for the pantry, dog runs, play yards and improvements to the cat rooms. All of the board members volunteer at the shelter. We hold various fundraisers to be able to provide whatever the shelter needs. ACCT in Philadelphia is the only intake shelter in the Philadelphia area, so no animal is turned away and this puts a tremendous strain on the resources that the City of Philadelphia provides. I know the work we are doing is saving lives and we are making a difference. Won't you join us? "You must be the change you wish to see in the world" author unknown.
Great things for dogs and cats! They provide resources for animals in a high kill, underfunded shelter. Pet food for people who can't afford the food. Covered areas for dogs to play outside and stay sane in any weather. Special events for adoptions. Lots more. 100% of their funds go to the animals. Everyone at Philadoptables is a volunteer.
I've had the privilege last year, at a fundraising event, to witness a woman walk up to this organizations table. She proceeded to tell them how she has 5 foster dogs and how she is involved to the shelter/rescue world, and how she was stressing about feeding them. Then, philadoptables great crew loaded this woman's car with several large bags of dog and cat food. The woman was in tears! She was so grateful!
This is just one example of how philadoptables has impacted our area. They help so many families keep their pets, when they would otherwise not be able to afford to keep them fed.
These people are very caring and committed. They get themselves out in the public eye at events large and small and bring some of their charges with them. I can see by the way the animals react they are loved and well taken care of.
Great organization that helps thousands of neglected and abused animals every year. They are literally life savers.
I've known Michelle for a while now and I just recently had to privilege to work on their calendar to raise money for shelters in the area. I love what they do, and since I used to work for one of the shelters they raised money for I was honored to be a part of it!
This is well run and super caring organization that will do anything to help these animals find a great place to live. They were a pleasure to work with and I can't wait to help again.

I recently worked with Philadoptables on a calendar to raise money for rescue pets. It was a great experience and lots of fun. Everybody who donated their time and money were kind, caring people with good attitudes and compassionate hearts.
Philadoptables is a great organization - the passion and commitment from all the volunteers is unbelievably amazing. It has been such a pleasure to be a part of Philadoptables; it inspires you to want to do more to help save and contribute to animals.
We provide delivery services for Philadoptables' food donations. The amount of food donations they procure for ACCT has been amazing. Philadoptables has been a great charity to work with, well organized and professional. We look forward to coninuing the relationship.
Its been a pleasure to be on the board of Philadoptables.
Philadoptables is an incredible organization working to save the lives of abused and abandoned animals of Philadelphia. They will an important gap that exists between city services and the public without which many animals would not find their way out of the city shelter and to new adoptive parents.
I am a volunteer for ACCT in Philadelphia and I cannot say enough good things about Philadoptables. They provide so many needed items to the City of Philadelphia open intake shelter. Medical equipment, play yard equipment, food, treats, harnesses, collars, toys, and so much more. They even built new play yards for the pups to have fun in. Philadoptables ROCKS!

We support Philly's animal control shelter whose annual intake of unwanted animals was over 33,000 in 2012! Some of our work: donating medical supplies and equipment, supporting adoption events, celebrating shelter volunteers, stocking a pet food pantry for people in need, building 6 shelter dog play yards at ACCT Philly and more. Philadoptables is made up of volunteers. We have little in the way of expenses- donated dollars go right to the animals!
It means the world to me to be doing this life-saving work. xo
I can't say enough good things about Philadoptables. They are so very helpful. I have two fosters with ACCT and they have been there everytime I needed something. They even help to find good loving families for the foster dogs by holding events and even promoting the animals for the foster parents There even wonderful to the community to make sure every pet owner who can't afford pet food gets food for their pet. I can even list all the excellent things they have done to ACCT to keep the dogs happy and stress free. They truly are an excellent organization
Just this year I have become involved with Philadoptables and am very proud of the dedication and commitment of the board members and the things we have and will accomplish. We have some of the most amazing volunteers who are truly committed to helping the homeless dogs and cats of Philadelphia. Philadoptables is a unique organization and I am very happy to be a part of it.
As a foster Philadoptables has always been very helpful to me with lending me a crate for my fosters , food for them & even toys for them to play with . Sometimes even a ride to go pick up my new fosters & a meet with my resident dog .Sometimes ,it's not as easy to do with our own pets to feed & our own families , so the help they provide is very appreciated. Having this help they provide for us fosters endures us to be able to continue taking fosters in .Thank you , Philadoptables !
What an amazing group of people with even bigger hearts than anyone I know! They are truly an asset to the animal rescue community and their roles for the voiceless. I've had the pleasure of knowing Michelle H. for many years. She is genuinely an amazing person with a heart of gold!
Last year I finally decided to reach out to Philadoptables and ask them how I could help them. I saw the wonderful things they were doing for the Philadelphia ACCT and for the rescue community and I wanted in. I started out as a volunteer and quickly became more and more engaged with the Philadoptables. The great folks at Philadoptables were building new out door runs, buying medical equipment, providing food for the much needed rescues and foster parents and so much more - I was amazing how they managed to this. Their optimistic outlook and their willingness to try new and exciting things to help homeless animals is what brought me to them. It was a no-brainer to accept their kind offer to join the board earlier in 2013. I am thrilled and very proud to be part of this non-profit.
Philadoptables is an excellent organization to volunteer for. Put simply, you can truly see the difference that they make for the animals of Philadelphia. They work tirelessly to raise money and awareness in a way that is friendly, determined and above all, smart. Not only do they have a thorough grasp of important aspects like social media networking, they also share the buzz through partnerships with similar organizations and co-hosted events. And such events! Philadoptables consistently invents exciting ways for volunteers to have fun while they give, from tattoo-themes fundraisers to marathons and painting classes. They inspire me to be a more proactive volunteer and reward us with the happy healthy faces of their charges. I'm very proud to support this organization in everything that they do.
I am the founder of a small 501(c)(3) cat rescue in the Philadelphia area dedicated to saving (primarily) long-haired cats (Persians Plus, Inc.). We pull cats at risk from shelters in the greater Philadelphia region, and most often from ACCT Philly. To say that we struggle to make ends meet would be a tremendous understatement. If not for the assistance of Philadoptables, we would never be able to have the impact that we now have. They've provided us with much needed donations of food and have offered this with a smile. They're a dedicated group of individuals who truly care for the animals and for the extended rescue community. I am pleased to offer them the highest rating for their service.
I am so grateful that a group like Philadoptables exists to help the homeless animals of Philadelphia. The group is doing so much to make things better for the animals at ACCT and to get homes for as many of those animals as possible. I know they are a group of dedicated individuals and I am just so glad that the exist.

I can't say enough good things about Philadoptables. They are a strong organization of dedicated and tireless volunteers who are creative and resourceful in their goals to better the lives of Philadelphia's homeless animals. Whether they are partnering with retailers and media outlets to generate food donations, or creating fundraising events to purchase much needed medical equipment, they pour their heart and soul into accomplishing their established goals. I'm a fan and a supporter, and I'm thankful that Philadoptables does so much for Philly's homeless pets!
I've been dealing with Michelle and Philadoptables for several years both directly and indirectly. While I was volunteering for PCCC, I was aware of the good work that Philadoptables did in rescuing countless animals through ACCT. Michelle's tireless work to help get the shelter animals adopted into forever homes is stellar. The last few years while working for Pet Valu, I've been working closely with Michelle to get donations through our warehouse as well as our stores to Philadoptables to help feed those countless animals that are helped through this wonderful organization.
I have been a supporter of Philadoptables for a few years now. They never cease to amaze me with the amount of work, time, effort & support they put into helping Philadelphia's homeless animals. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see someone from Philadoptables volunteering time at ACCT, helping with adoption events, promoting fundraisers or even helping to bring attention to a special pet in need. I am truly inspired by the work they do and am proud to call Michele, Christa and quite a few other Philadoptables volunteers friends. Very good group of people.
Philadoptables has helped our shelter , ACCT, in so many ways, I can't even count them all. The animals and their well-being is always their #1 priority and we couldn't be luckier to have them on our side!
I am an animal welfare advocate and a volunteer with the Pa State Animal Response Team - BCART and know Philadoptables' Founder, Michelle. I was served by Philadoptables when my mother found a cat she wanted to adopt who was on the euthanasia line as a senior animal who was potentially unadoptable . Fearing we would be too late for my mother to adopt Chloe, I contacted Philadoptables and was put in touch with a wonderful foster parent - Peg who had pulled Chloe from ACCT and administered medication for a week. We scheduled a meeting time at Chloe's first adoption outing 3 days after being put in touch and Chloe has now lived in her second chance forever home 2 years this past July. There are many other great things to be pointed out about Philadoptables but Chloe's story is so telling about the quality of this organization. It is an absolute pleasure to rate the integrity of Philadoptables at 5 stars.
Philadoptables is an organization that remains close to the daily struggles and realities of homeless animals. The people who run it and the volunteers that staff it are all people who operate at the core of animal welfare in Philly, S. Jersey and elsewhere. They are people who build dog play areas outside the shelter, pick up food donations and get it to where its needed and they somehow manage to deal with the individual cases, the dog that only has 8 more hours, the cat that needs a temporary foster- the day to day details- these are the people and this is the organization that is there.
All sorts of people, busy people coordinate their time and dedicate their free hours to this cause.
Working on 'the line' as they do, the sorrows can be paralyzing- and yet this organization pulls the very best from its members. They are resilient and though it can get very demoralizing, they somehow pull together and rededicate to the cause.
It is not a cliquish group and they remain positive- the leadership and the mission maintain an integrity that does a great deal to stop the suffering and educate the community toward eradicating it.
Philadoptables works tirelessly to help Philly's homeless animals by providing much needed resources to the city's animal control shelter. They are always willing to step up to raise money to help out the city's discarded animals. They constantly look for new ways to promote the animals and their welfare! The shelter has benefitted so much from their hard work and generosity! They've made incredible, tangible differences in the lives of many helpless creatures!
Philadoptables is a great charity dedicated to helping the animals at Philadelphia's only open intake shelter. Whenever they are asked for anything, they manage to provide it. I don't know how they do it. They build play yards, find crates, get food donations, throw adoption events, help foster parents, promote ACCT's animals on tv...you name it, they do it. They are a godsend and I don't know what ACCT Philly would do without them.
Philadoptables is a group, devoted to the animals at the shelter. They have done many projects for the animals. The most recent is building new dog runs, the old ones are also going to get a much needed make over. They have lost their ability to safely contain the animals, while they have some time out of their kennels. Having these runs is so important mentally and physically for these dogs. They have also did a laundry project, food drive. The list can go on and on. The animals are so thankful to have such a great group, who have their interest at heart.
As a board member I am honored to be a part of this organization. I have been involved for over 3 years and each member of the board is a true animal lover who cares about bettering the lives of Philadelphia's homeless animals. As an all volunteer board, each and every penny donated goes towards the animals of Philadelphia Animal Care and Control. Each project we work on solidifies our devotion and you can see the outcome and the wonderful impact it has on the animals. From building play yards for the dogs to donating kitten milk formula, you can see how it helps those involved and its just an incredible feeling. But we couldn't do any of this without our donors who are behind making all of this possible. I am truly blessed to be able to be part of this group.
Philadoptables has the interest of all the area animals at heart. They assist the local animal shelters in many different ways. First, the organization raises funds for shelter needs such as surgery supplies, laundry facilities, and even building outdoor runs for the dogs. Secondly, Philadoptables is highly involved in generating donations from local stores for supplies such as treats, harnesses, toys, and even food for the low income food pantry located at Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia. Lastly and most importantly they are dedicated in promoting awareness, educating the community, and building a larger volunteer base for the shelter.
Philadoptables has been a pleasure to work with and to make donations to - I'm amazed at the amount of work they do to help support Philadelphia's homeless animals. From volunteering on weekends and holidays, taking photos, connecting available animals with potential adopters, to engaging on their social media channels...this group truly does it all. And they are extremely effective - by accepting my company's food donations, Philadoptables fills up shelter food pantries and ensures that the neediest are being served. I highly recommend working with this group.
