Philadoptables is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that provides support for adoption, welfare, and outreach programs that benefit the 30,000+ animals received each year by the Philadelphia Animal Control Shelter, the Delaware Valley Region’s largest open-door municipal animal shelter. By working with volunteers, animal welfare groups, organizations outside the animal network, and communities throughout the Delaware Valley Region, our goal is to save lives and to build a better community – for people and animals alike – by: Increasing the number of animals saved through adoptions, foster homes, and rescue partners at Philadelphia’s animal control shelter; Improving conditions at the shelter by supporting essential services not funded by the City’s animal control budget; Educating the public and generating community involvement about the shelter and the animals in its care.
Check out our many accomplishments that we have given to the Animal Care and Control Team in Philadelphia. To highlight, we built 5 new play yard for the dogs, added a roof to one of the larger ones. We were a major sponsor in the laundry and kitchen sink initiative. We have given various medical equipment and supported the events team and volunteers. We have held several kitten adoption programs and have provided food and much needed supplies to many of the rescues who pull from the shelter. Through our partnerships and grant programs we have provided tons of food for the shelter pantry project which helps needy families keep their families together. We do Camp Out for Hunger every year with a local radio station 93.3 WMMR who graciously allows us to collect pet food for our rescues and the shelters needy family pantry. We continue to look for ways to increase education and awareness in the City and surrounding areas.

Reviews for Philadoptables
Philadoptables is a philly based non profit that helps out local rescues with their mission to save animals in need. Having a community support system to back rescue organizations is vital to those rescues success. Philadoptables helps with providing needed supplies, monetary support , and helping raise awareness of animals in need.
I'm with a local rescue and Philadoptables has been extremely helpful generous with donations and cross posting events and animals needing homes.
We are extremely fortunate to Philadoptables in the area. They are a blessing to community with their programs/outreach and they also go over and above to help local rescues.
This is a great organization that really cares about animals. They help save them, foster and get them forever homes through adoption. I am proud to write this review for them.
Philadoptables has been a tremendously supportive and effective partner for ACCT Philly. Whether it is supporting our food pantry for the public, providing enrichment for our shelter animals or collaborating with us and other humane organizations to fund raise, they always seem to come through. ACCT Philly is proud to be associated with Philadoptables.
I am a Board Member for this organization. We all volunteer 100% of our time to help homeless animals in the Philadelphia area. We really provide much needed medical supplies for ACCT Philly and enrichment for the animals, by providing structures, agility equipment and toys and treats. We also provide food for needy families to keep them together, rather than a family turning in a family member, because they simply can't afford basic needs for them. We have offered low cost vaccines, flea and tick medications. We hold adoption events, spend a week collecting food with Preston & Steve Camp out for Hunger (WMMR) to distribute this food to foster families and local rescues in the Delaware Valley Area. If you are in need, please reach out to us at email@example.com and we will see what we can do to help.
I am so proud to be a member of this board and secretary. We provide much needed medical supplies, enrichment for the animals, food for the pantry, dog runs, play yards and improvements to the cat rooms. All of the board members volunteer at the shelter. We hold various fundraisers to be able to provide whatever the shelter needs. ACCT in Philadelphia is the only intake shelter in the Philadelphia area, so no animal is turned away and this puts a tremendous strain on the resources that the City of Philadelphia provides. I know the work we are doing is saving lives and we are making a difference. Won't you join us? "You must be the change you wish to see in the world" author unknown.

Great things for dogs and cats! They provide resources for animals in a high kill, underfunded shelter. Pet food for people who can't afford the food. Covered areas for dogs to play outside and stay sane in any weather. Special events for adoptions. Lots more. 100% of their funds go to the animals. Everyone at Philadoptables is a volunteer.

I've had the privilege last year, at a fundraising event, to witness a woman walk up to this organizations table. She proceeded to tell them how she has 5 foster dogs and how she is involved to the shelter/rescue world, and how she was stressing about feeding them. Then, philadoptables great crew loaded this woman's car with several large bags of dog and cat food. The woman was in tears! She was so grateful!
This is just one example of how philadoptables has impacted our area. They help so many families keep their pets, when they would otherwise not be able to afford to keep them fed.

These people are very caring and committed. They get themselves out in the public eye at events large and small and bring some of their charges with them. I can see by the way the animals react they are loved and well taken care of.

I've known Michelle for a while now and I just recently had to privilege to work on their calendar to raise money for shelters in the area. I love what they do, and since I used to work for one of the shelters they raised money for I was honored to be a part of it!
