Mission: Our motto says it all--"keeping pets and their people together. " the mission of the pad for paws foundation is to assist low-income pet owners who are struggling to feed both themselves and their pets. Through our paws pantry program we supply pet food, pet supplies, and emergency veterinary care. We assist seniors, special needs, those with service animals, veterans, and pet owners experiencing a temporary hardship such as divorce, unemployment, a death in the family, or natural disasters. Our foundation is 100% volunteer with no paid employees, and we are dedicated to animal welfare.
Programs: Paws pantry-our program distributes pet food to hundreds of hungry pets of the elderly, disabled, special needs, veterans and low-income residents who are struggling with temporary hardships. Since 2008 our program has donated over 415,472 pounds of dog and cat food.
veterinary services-our foundation assists the elderly, low-income, special needs, and veterans with emergency veterinary care to alleviate their pet's suffering. We also require that all the pets we feed are spayed/neutered to reduce pet over-population and we assist with those surgery costs.
adoption advocacy-our foundation sponsors local rescue groups who work diligently to find homes for stray and abused dogs from the area's indian reservations, and cats from feral colonies. We also sponsor the pick-a-pet in the local newspaper for dogs/cats up for adoption.
