Mission: Our mission is "keeping pets and their people together!" We assist low-income pet owners including seniors, veterans, disabled, and those with service animals. We provide pet food, pet supplies, and assist with emergency veterinary care. We are 100% volunteer with no paid employees.
Target demographics: low-income pet owners, seniors, veterans, therapy dogs
Direct beneficiaries per year: 500 low-income residents in our community
Geographic areas served: Helena and Lewis & Clark County, Montana
Programs: Our Paws Pantry program distributes pet food to hundreds of hungry pets of low-income elderly, disabled, special needs, veterans, and residents who are struggling with temporary hardships. Since 2008 we have donated over 1 MILLION pounds of dog and cat food.
We also provide pet supplies, and assist with emergency veterinary care to ease pet suffering, including spay/neuters to reduce pet overpopulation.
Pad for Paws works with the community to assist other rescue groups who work diligently to find homes for stray and abused dogs from the area's Indian Reservations, and cats from feral colonies.
