4222 Market Street No D Ventura CA 93003 USA

The make-a-wish foundation of the tri-counties grants wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

In fiscal year 2014, 87 children recieved a magical wish experience. Thousands of family members, medical professionals, volunteers, donors, community members, and friends were touched by the power of wishes granted. Total wishes granted for the fiscal year were $919,885. Of this amount, $115,640 was contributed by various vendors who provided in-kind contributions such as travel and travel services, transportation, lodging, and other services and use of facilities to complete a child's wish. For financial statement purposes, these amounts are included as contribution revenue and granted wish expense. For form 990, however, the irs requires that the $115,640 of contributed services and use of facilities be excluded from both revenue and expense.

I was searching for a volunteer opportunity that would bring joy to others and to give back to the community in which I live and work. This branch is so well managed and organized. They truly live up to their mission every day and 80% of the money they collect goes directly to wish fulfillment. If you are seeking a truly rewarding volunteer experience please consider Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Tri-Counties. It will warm your heart in so many ways.
