It has been a true pleasure working with KAB over the years. Knowing that we are educating young people to make healthier choices that will have long term benefits is truly satisfying and rewarding.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have read countless testimonies from young people about how KAB has helped them tackle serious emotional issues related to breast cancer in their families.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Expand it further!

As a cancer survivorship and caregiver coach, I am particularly sensitive to finding resources for my clients and readers that involve meaningful support. Keep-A-Breast creates community based events that provide opportunities for healing, stress reduction and connection. Because of the way they honor women, they attract like minded businesses, volunteers and trained professionals such as myself. This collection of resources help staff up events, provide the location, donated products and services as well as spreading the word about Keep-A-Breast.

I feel this organization balances education and prevention with also providing much needed shared experiences and a safe place to connect during the healing journey.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

how they created a day of pampering, relaxation and connection for breast cancer survivors at Spa Day. It was an extraordinary experience and each woman I worked with expressed that they felt truly supported and uplifted by the event. Amanda Nixon, who is on staff with Keep-A-Breast, facilitated this great day and is an expert at caring for everyone including the volunteers. She walks the talk when it comes to being of service and making a difference in the world.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I couldn't begin to think how they would change anything other than I wish them even more funding to continue to expand their reach and all they do.

I became acquainted with Keep-a-Breast after I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. I participated in a casting party and began to learn more of the amazing and creative ways that Keep-a-Breast makes a difference in so many young women's lives.

This foundation rocks!! Thank you Keep-a-Breast for spreading the word to the younger generation and helping to prevent breast cancer.

As a young breast cancer survivor, Keep A Breast has been an amazing resource for helping me get in touch with other young survivors like me. I have participated in 2 of their Treasure Chest/Spa-rty events dedicated to providing young breast cancer survivors a day of complete relaxation and pampering at a local spa/salon. KAB is also dedicated to spreading awareness about breast cancer and educating men and women of all ages about the importance of early detection and prevention. I found my cancer myself through a self-breast exam so I definitely know first hand how important it is!

KAB has a Treasure Chest program that gives survivors the opportunity to have a cast made of their breasts and I had my casting done just recently. It was such a meaningful experience for me to be able to memorialize my breasts after having gone through surgery and resconstruction. I can't wait to have the cast painted! The cast will be an intimate reminder of the cancer journey that I've been through in the last 2 years. Not only the difficult parts of a cancer diagnosis, but also all of the wonderful people I have met along the way and the support from my family and friends. Thank you KAB for providing me with a keep sake that I will cherish forever!
