Iris Global is a Christian NGO committed to expressing a living and tangible response to those commandments that Jesus called greatest: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength,” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” It is our conviction that the Spirit of God has asked us to make this love concrete in the world, incarnate in our thoughts, our bodies, our lives and our every action. Iris Global exists to participate in bringing the Kingdom of God to earth in all its aspects, but most especially through our particular calling to serve the very poor: the destitute, the lost, the broken and the forgotten.

Reviews for Iris Global

Rating: 5 stars

Iris is less of an organization and more of a tribe of people who have dedicated themselves to laying down their lives selflessly for those in greatest need around the planet. It would be impossible to track how many lives have been transformed by this non-profit and the accomplishments can only be described as miraculous; because such results - from feeding vast numbers of people, building top-performing schools, starting clinics, rescuing people from slavery, taking in orphans, training widows in business skills, to reaching the remotest tribes, providing wells, rebuilding houses, healing the blind, giving dignity to the abused and abandoned, and empowering people to take on new jobs and responsibilities - would be impossible if it were not for a total reliance on Jesus Christ. Iris maintains a commitment to serve communities not from a position of knowing it all, but always going "lower still" in serving and honoring indigenous peoples and calling out the innate greatness in every nation they operate in.

I can't say enough about Iris global I personally attended there leadership school in Central Coast of California.. I will glean from all I learned for the rest of my life. The teaching is biblical and spot on. I absolutely love the leadership of this school they know how to build community and truly be spiritual fathers and mothers... Mark & Cheryl Perry are hands down the best leaders I have ever had the privilege of sitting under forever grateful for Iris Global and Iris Leadership School....

Ever since I discovered Iris during a relief mission to Japan in 2011, I've been impressed by their love and commitment to making the world a better place in big and small ways. Every person they serve finds themselves touched deep in their spirits and hope is awakened, in a way that most humanitarian agencies which serve physical needs cannot. I've visited a number of their bases and found orphans and children who were born severely disadvantaged, now living as sons and daughters with hope and a future.

Iris has helped me advance and further my leadership skills and propelled me into my destiny, while stopping for and loving the one in front of me in all walks of life through their leader school in Pismo Beach as well as their Iris Hollywood artist boot camp! Iris truly is an organization that believes that love looks like something and teaches others what it looks like and how to multiply it and give it away from the poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich! Iris helped me to learn what it means to go low and slow, how to have selfless ambitions and helped fine tune my character to be able to walk in the fullness of what God has for me to continue to
Further his kingdom on earth

They are consistently caring, giving, doing, & SHOWING OTHERS how to do the same. It is awesome that they include so many & share the courage it takes to do BIG THINGS for no reward other than IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!! I am encouraged to give & to imitate what i've seen them to-- Here & abroad. to care for the poor & needy in their distress...... ahhhhh the good stuff.

This organization is one of the most accepting and loving places I've worked with. You immediately feel like family when you arrive. The atmosphere they foster is unlike any I have seen. They truly put Jesus as the forefront of their work and do nothing until they've sought his face and he responds. Yet they accomplish more than humanly possible because with Jesus nothing is impossible. He's great. I love Him.

If you want to learn how to love people, this is the place to go. Heidi and Rolland Baker, the directors of Iris Global have poured their lives out for the nation of Mozambique. So many people are fed and taken care of. Iris has feeding programs, village discipleship and several levels of schooling. They are currently working on building a university as well. Truest an amazing organization!

Iris is an amazing organization. I've never seen any other nonprofit like it. They take love to another level. They also look at people as people rather than a project to be accomplished. Each person is cared for practically, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Really a wholistic support system. And they are so humble from the top down. The leaders are very honoring and treat the poor the same way they would treat a queen. This is by far my favorite non profit organization. What better gift is there to give but love, and they do this so well!

Iris is a beautiful ministry that has captured the heart of God in caring for the poor and loving the broken. I have had the privilege of volunteering my time to many projects at the Village of Joy in Mozambique. Everyday they provide a meal for village children, love the widows and preach the gospel.
