two children's homes: compassion home (in ongole, india) and pearl's home (in santhamagalur, india) that provide basic shelter, food education costs, clothing, medical care and extra tutoring, as needed, for 100 children. . Pearl's home home is not used as much for a boarding home now, our children go home in the evenings. Previously, we were keeping children from neighboring villages that had no school and came to santhamagulur for school; they stayed at the home. At that time, we kept our local children at the home too. Now that we just have local children, they eat their meals, do their studies, tutoring, etc. At the hoci facility but go home to sleep. . This past year we enrolled 12 of our children in private english medium school. They do all their classes and studies in english, making them very fluent in the language. There is a great demand for fluent english speakers in india and we believe this will give our children a distinct advantage when they go on to advanced studies and to the workplace.
