I went on my first GEEO trip this past summer to Ireland and I had a great experience. The tour was well-organized and fun. I liked that there were always options in which activities to participate at each location. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and informative and our driver was awesome. I had a great trip and will definitely travel with GEEO again!

This summer was both my 3rd and my 4th trip with GEEO and both were a great experience! My 2 trips, to Bali, and then Bangkok to Hanoi were fun, informative, and well-organized. I like the small group size, too. They pick sites to visit, but also allow a lot of flexibility to pursue your interests. I like the experiential focus, such as a cooking class in Bali on the beach!

I took my second GEEO trip this past summer to Morocco. These programs are so well organized, and being with fellow educators while traveling is just the icing on the cake. Go ahead and take a GEEO trip yourself; you won't be disappointed!

I traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia with GEEO.org, and it was such an enriching experience! Not only did I learn about the people, the land, and the cultures of SE Asia, but I learned a lot from the fellow teachers that I traveled with. Through travel, I am able to bring my experiences home to my district and my community. Would HIGHLY recommend a GEEO travel program to anyone, and I would love to return on another GEEO program in the future!

This was my first year to travel with GEEO and I was extremely pleased with the entire experience--from signing up to post-trip materials. Jesse has been incredible in planning this trips and making sure that GEEO teachers get the best experience possible. I have traveled quite a bit and normally stay away from group tours, but I will definitely be using GEEO again to travel to those places a little off the beaten path. I love the diversity of programs offered--I just am having trouble deciding where to go next!

I had an amazing trip to South India. Our cohort was made up of all teachers and our focus was on education so not only did we do a lot of the typical expeditions, we also visited several schools and had time to talk with students, teachers and administrators.

I have traveled to over 50 countries and have always been hesitant about traveling with tour groups. This past June I took a chance with GEEO to finally go to India and Nepal, both had been on my short list of dream trips for many years. My experience exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with all aspects of the trip, from the pace of the itinerary to the choice of places to be visited to our wonderful tour guide. I am accustomed to being in control of my travels, but from the first meeting on day 1, I was able to let go and put the trip in the hands of the very capable professionals of GEEO. I hope to have many more experiences with this group in the future.

I have loved each of my travel experiences with GEEO. I appreciate the support they offer in preparing for the trip and once it is all booked, they take care of every detail. The trips are planned carefully in order to see as much as possible in a short period of time. In addition to seeing the highlights of a region, GEEO incorporates local experiences visiting schools and communities. The guides are the best sharing the history, culture, and cuisine of each region. It is exciting to gain the knowledge and experience to bring back to students inspiring them to be global citizens and travel the world, when the opportunity arises. GEEO provides safe, affordable travel with comfortable accommodations. I highly recommend GEEO to all teachers searching for adventure!

I am the Social Studies chair for my school and I am passionate about teaching students to look outside their immediate community and become global citizens. My experiences with GEEO have been life changing and have enabled me to let my students learn about the world in a positive and familial way. Through pictures, artifacts, music, and literature I have been able to bring the world a little closer for my students. GEEO has been instrumental in this endeavor- I simply can't say enough positive things about this amazing organization!

I have done 5 trips with GEEO and each one has been extraordinary. It is a wonderful opportunity to travel with other teachers, to link with educators in different cultures, and has definitely made me a better teacher. I had never done a "tour" before- I preferred to do my own independent travel but this has completely changed my perspective. On a practical level the tours are fairly reasonable and all GEEO trips are tax deductible which is a huge bonus for those who receive a teacher's salary. Be transformed and go!

I just completed my fourth summer adventure with GEEO ( Peru, Tunisia, India/Nepal, and Galapagos) and every one of them has had a profound impact on my teaching. I teach history, geography, and global studies and so I feel like my students have been the real beneficiaries of my experiences. The affordability, professionalism, school experiences, and the opportunity to travel, learn, and share with like-minded professionals is unmatched in comparison with other professional experiences that I've participated in. If you haven't gone on a GEEO trip- GO NOW! It's life changing!

There is no better way for an educator to see the world. I've taken four different trips with GEEO and will definitely do so again. The tours are designed to give the traveler a lot of freedom to either participate in group activities or venture off on your own. GEEO does an excellent job avoiding touristy hotels and adding many cultural experiences in each tour. Homestays are included in many of the tours. With GEEO you will travel by overnight train, van, bus, many types of boats, camel, donkey, airplane, jeep, and more, Never a dull day! My global experiences have definitely made me a better teacher. My students are not just reading about different countries and cultures but seeing my videos and pictures, adding depth to my lessons. One of the biggest benefits for me is I can travel alone without any issues. I always opt to share my room and have met some wonderful women that I feel will be lifelong friends. You just can't go wrong with GEEO. The tours are well-organized, offer a variety of experiences, and activities The service is amazing...

I have been to India, Thailand, Peru, and Morocco with GEEO. I can't say enough about how organized the trips are. No detail is left unattended to. The communication is outstanding. If you call or email GEEO response wait time it normally minutes (and I am serious). I enjoy travelling with other educators and I was so pleased that I found GEEO. Bringing the world to my students is important to me and GEEO is may way to do that. If you are looking for plush, cushy trips where you sit in expensive hotels these are not the trips for you. If you are looking to meet the people, know the land, and experience the culture this is the place for you. I will continue to travel with GEEO every summer.

I traveled the last two summers with GEEO. I previously traveled with gadventures which is the tour organization GEEO uses for it's tours. While my gadventures trips were good my GEEO trips were much better. I love travelling with educators, visiting schools in other countries, and talking with teachers from around the US. Earning professional development hours is an added bonus. The biggest kudos go to Jesse who ALWAYS answers emails and phone callls. I will continue to travel with GEEO. Be a better educator...be global!

I have traveled to 18 different countries on seven tours with GEEO. This international experience has brought an authenticity to my lessons while enabling me to build a strong foundation of global competencies in my students. These global competencies are vital for any young person hoping to make their way in today's global society. This global perspective has become a cornerstone in my teaching and resulted in an enthusiastic support from my administration. GEEO and international travel has defined who I am as a teacher.

GEEO is providing a much needed service. Having a global perspective is critical in today's world. Solving many of today's economic, environmental and political challenges will require an informed global perspective. The best way to ensure our leaders of tomorrow are prepared is to empower their teachers to bring a global perspective to their classrooms. Educators who have actually been to other parts of the world and experienced other cultures and have made personal connections with the people of those cultures bring a powerful authenticity to their lessons that can't be experienced through a textbook. That's why I am preparing for my seventh GEEO travel program and expect to participate in many more. It's clearly made me a better teacher by bringing my lessons to life and helping my student find a place within their global community.

I have done five GEEO trips. Each one was a great experience. Traveling with fellow teachers you get an opportunity to immerse yourself in a foreign culture in a meaningful and thoughtful way that you can bring back into your classroom. It has made me a better teacher.

There is no better way for an educator to see the world. I've taken four different trips with GEEO. The program is designed to give you a lot of freedom to either participate in group activities or venture off on your own. They also do a pretty good job avoiding touristy hotels by using hotels that are locally run. This helps you get a better feel for the local culture and probably helps keep the costs down a bit. Each of the tour leaders I've had have had very different personalities but they have all been very friendly and knowledgeable. GEEO is also very sensitive and tuned-in to the needs and interests of their travelers. They always send an email following each trip asking for your feedback and on a few occasions the Executive Director has even called me directly to get my thoughts. It's fun; it's affordable and it makes me a better teacher.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If anything, they need to do a better job promoting themselves. More teachers should take advantage of this opportunity.

GEEO is a great way to see the world and experience the true flavor of a foreign culture while also catching the major tourist sites. They generally avoid the Americanized hotels; opting for more local accommodations that not only save you money but, gives you an opportunity to interact more closely with the local people in a more authentic way.

I also like the fact that they give you a lot of freedom to plan much of your own time. You may opt to take-in one of their recommended activities or just go off on your own. The tour guides really know their stuff and do a great job of looking after your safety while encouraging you to be adventurous.

GEEO is also very helpul as you prepare for your trip. They recommend good books to read before hand and they setup a facebook event which allows you to get to know your fellow travelers before you actually meet face-to-face. Many of us stay in touch after the trip and even plan future GEEO trips together.

The first time I booked a trip with GEEO, I ended up getting a Fulbright-Hays award to Senegal and I was unable to take the GEEO adventure I had planned to China. Fortunately, I notified them in time and they allowed me to apply my deposit to a later trip. They were very easy to work with. I have been on two of their programs and I have already booked another trip for next summer.

My only complaint is that the summer went too fast. I can't wait for my next GEEO adventure.
