Frederick Alliance for Youth has strong leadership and well-designed programs. The executive staff has much more professional experience than any other after school and summer program I've ever seen and I've personally seen the organization's leadership measure outputs and outcomes and make strategic planning decisions accordingly. For a young organization, they are off to a great start!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the personal relationships staff develops with children AND FAMILIES. A staff member recently helped a child's father sign up for placement tests at the local community college!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

reach out to more "traditional" community leaders such as those active on homeowner's associations. It would be helpful to win them over and engage them as champions.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the combination of professional quality and personal connection.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

honest, excited, incredibly capable, and well-trained.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

completely change the Hillcrest and Waverley neighborhoods for the better!

Ways to make it better...

I could have spoken directly to more parents. I'll have to practice my Spanish!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

One thing I'd also say is that...

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
