This is a great organization that has really increased its potential in recent years. The mediation service is free to anyone in Frederick County and is provided by volunteers. Volunteer mediators are well-trained and mentored, so it provides a great opportunity to learn a new and valuable skills while helping individuals and families better their relationships, learn problem solving skills, and keep disputes out of courtrooms. Still, a great deal of help is needed and your time will be put to good use, regardless of how much or little time you have to offer! I have worked closely and served this organization for three years.

Mission: To train volunteers in conflict resolution and mediation to provide these services at no charge to individuals and businesses requiring resolutions to conflicts.
Programs: Conflict resolution education and mediations provided to frederick county, md residents and businesses at no charge. Perform mediation intakes and related mediations, conduct monthly anger management courses. Operate youth program to engage at-risk youth and families in conflict resolution activities. Train adult volunteer mediators/facilitators for youth mediation. Train youth in either mediation and anger management or after- school conflict resolution programs. Also, train individuals in mediation methods so they can become volunteer mediators.
