I've worked in the sector for 17 years as everything from well driller to operations director to communications director. I got to personally see The Water Project's work in Kenya and it was the most transformative work I've ever seen. It was everything everyone in the water sector says they are in terms of improving economy, agriculture, hygiene, environment, livestock, etc. few water projects really do impact all these areas but this TWP work was.
We worked with The Water Project as our non-profit parter for the New England Coffee Festival in Laconia, NH. It was incredible to give towards a specific project and watch the progress towards clean water in that community. This unique approach to giving and fundraising efforts with full transparency on where the funds were going helped our community see the impact we can have when we join together towards a common cause. It helped us feel a part of the project and connected to people, faces, and communities in need.
Access to clean water is a human right. Water provides sustanance for daily living and hope for the future. The Water Project Inc is doing just that ! They deliver to the designated vulnerable communities who are often in desperate need of this help. I am in awe of their humanitarian approach in rendering and delivering on what they set out to do. Well done to the team!
Thank you for providing a basic human need, that is taken for granted by many, to the poorest of the poor.
This is an amazing organization doing wonderful work bringing water to people and educating them. This is heartwarming to see how they help communities.
The Water Project is an innovative and generous organization that is making a real difference in the world!
I had learned about The Water Project about one year ago and was immediately impressed by the amazing stories they share as well as their knowledge and communication. I had the chance to work with them recently as they were sending cards to each and every one of their donors. It is clear to me they are dedicated to their mission as well as their donors, keeping their donors abreast of projects, their collective impact and just showing appreciation and gratitude. They have built a true connection with everyone involved. I worked with Tess who was unbelievably approachable and understanding. It is clear she is passionate and dedicated to this work. And from what I can tell, it seems each member of this organization must be this way too. I loved being a part of what they do!
My wife and I have been donating to The Water Project from its inception. We have received feed back on the many water projects our contributions have completed. Unlike most other non profits, we have received information, pictures and information about the people we have served through The Water Project. What we particularly like is the abiliy of the Water Project to monitor each project so as to maintain the well, or other water sources they have created to insure safe, clean water while also aiding the community acheive higher sanitation and prevention of water borne diseases. We feel like we are actively participating in the lives of the people the Water Project touches. The Water Project is not a 'one and done' operation like so many other similar and maybe glitzier charities. The Water Project is a community of people like my wife and I, the kids in schools from kindergarten through college, and yes even corporations who do fund raisers so that the The Water Project can stay in a life enhancing relationship with the communities that receive The Water Project's assistance to live life with clean water. The Water Project is the real deal!
Our Brownie Troop chose the Water Project as their fundraising activity last year, and we are blown away by this group. We used their fundraising ideas and products - the girls appreciated being able to save their own money to donate (choosing water instead of juice/soda, and donating the money saved). It is a unique and interesting way to collect funds, and the updates from the beneficiaires has created a link, causing the Brownies to want to do more.
Thank you, The Water Project. We are enjoying our experience with you!
What this program is doing is really amazing. I have just started really trying to participate and i have started to understand how great this program is. Its really amazing that we are able to help these people, that through the water project we are able to get them the water they need.
I do not have any specific experience with this organization, but the follow up story on The World mentions some issues.

Thanks for posting a review, but I think you have the wrong organization. The Water Project does not install PlayPumps.
