I recently had the incredible experience of working with Rabbit Wranglers, and I can’t say enough about the amazing work they do with medically-fragile rabbits! This compassionate organization is truly dedicated to rescuing abandoned and neglected rabbits, and their expertise in trapping and caring for these vulnerable animals with complex medical needs is unmatched.
Starlight Strays Sanctuary responded to a situation where multiple rabbits were callously abandoned outside and their owners failed to look for them. When we ran into some difficulties trapping (after all, we are cat experts and were out of our wheelhouse with rabbits!), Rabbit Wranglers partnered with us to rescue the abandoned rabbits. From start to finish, Rabbit Wranglers handled the situation with professionalism, care, gratitude, and heart. Suaz, in particular, was an absolute joy to work with. She is one of the kindest, most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met. Not only is she deeply committed to the well-being of rabbits, but she is also incredibly generous with her time, knowledge, and incredible sense of humor. Throughout the entire process, Suaz was always willing to answer our questions, explain the safest ways to approach trapping rabbits, and offer advice based on her vast experience. Suaz's passion for what she does is infectious, and it’s clear that she genuinely loves helping both rabbits, people, and.... the occasional "stray" cat person ;)
Rabbit Wranglers is an invaluable resource for our community, and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with them. Coming from a medical needs cat rescue, Rabbit Wranglers is a shining example of what rescue work should be—caring, knowledgeable, and always putting the animals first. If you’re looking for a group that truly makes a difference, look no further than Rabbit Wranglers!
Rabbit Wranglers is a generous, knowledgeable, reputable organization. They regularly pull complex medical or behavioral rabbits from area shelters, rescue domestic rabbits abandoned outdoors, and assist with humane officer and / or hoarding situations. They exhaust every medical option for their rabbits and are a wealth of knowledge and ready resource for former adopters as well as the general public.

I am the co-owner of a pet store in Pittsburgh, and we have sought out Rabbit Wranglers on many many occasions. Their expert help with all things rabbit has been invaluable. As we've come to know them, we've done some events for them and tried to support their organization as much as possible. We get asked for support by quite a number of organizations. How do we choose? Well, with a long background in non-profits, I can recognize all the hallmarks of a well-run organization. And Rabbit Wranglers has them! they have terrific stewardship of funds, great volunteer recruitment and management, really sound partnership with the community, professional graphics and media pieces, a responsible ing-term plan...and the list goes on. They are one of the best run non-profits I have ever encountered, and we are so proud to work with them.
Rabbit Wranglers is a great resource for rabbit owners! They have a fantastic community outreach with brochures that range in subject from proper nutrition to behavioral issues and classes that teach people how to properly care for their rabbit pets.
They have a great troop of volunteers and fosters, all of whom are passionate about the well being of rabbits.
In addition, they do amazing work with "special needs" rabbits. The patients that I see will sometimes have medical needs that would cause other people to give up on them. Rabbit Wranglers takes them on, and these rabbits just thrive!
We are truly lucky to have Rabbit Wranglers as a resource!
