Thank you for making a blanket for my Mom. She was very happy to know that there are many people around wishing her and praying for her speedy recovery. I loved the letter of support and care. Sending the blanket all the to India was a surprise for me. Thank you for your support . We all together can kill cancer.

Nicole Macosky has rapidly built this non-profit organization into one that's starting to be recognized nationally. Her determination, vision and commitment to carry out a mission in remembrance of her mother is what drives its success. She's providing relief to breast cancer patients that truly touches the heart.

I came across this non-profit organization quite by accident while looking at a scarf pattern a friend posted on Facebook. I am not sure why, but it touched my heart and I knew I had to get involved. I am currently working on crocheting several squares for "project chemo crochet". I have a couple very special squares featuring pink ribbons which I think will be perfect! I hope the folks in charge will agree once they see them. :-)

On March 25, 2014, i began my chemo treatments for Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. A very dear friend and customer of The Talking Teacup, my tearoom in Chalfont PA, sent me a beautiful Project Chemo Crocheted blanket. What an awesome surprise when i opened my mail and pulled out my blanket. Not only did the blanket keep me warm during chemo treatments but most of all i felt like "arms of love, warmth and support" were being wrapped around me during this difficult time. I am honored to have received such a supportive and loving gesture. I completed my frontline treatment on August 26, 2014, i continue to wrap myself in warmth both at home and at my monthly maintenance treatments. This was truly a gift of strength, love and support all "wrapped up" in a beautiful blanket. Words will never fully express my appreciation, except every time i pull that blanket up around my shoulders, i am reminded of the love that went in to making it.

The pink blanket you made for a friend of mine was incredibly wonderful. She used this blanket during her chemo treatments to keep her warm and helped keep up her spirits. Thank you so much for thinking of my friend!

Project Chemo Crochet is one of the most AWESOME organizations I have ever seen. I requested a blanket for my Aunt and within a week she had received a beautiful handmade, heartfelt blanket to use during her chemo sessions. Their are not enough words to praise this group of people. The joy and thought of others caring about you while you endure some of the toughest days of your life is overwhelming. My Aunt was beyond words. Thank you to all the kind, generous, loving people that crochet, send packages, answer messages, and participate in this organization! YOU are the Best!

Pink Warriors are a wonderful group of caring people. My wife was in the middle of frontline chemo for Ovarian Cancer and received the lovely surprise of a beautiful blanket from this group. It picked up her spirits while she was fighting the effects of dose dense chemo. For her remaining sessions, she proudly brought it with her to the "chemo lounge". It kept both her body and heart warm during treatments and now it is displayed in our living room as a reminder of both her battle with cancer and the kindness of the people who helped her fight that fight. Thank you!

I have only been involved in this program for the last several months. I am blessed to have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. The last of my children has gone off to college this year at a college 3 hours from home. As a crafter, I have many projects that I am working on at home, but you can't take the sewing machine or quilting frame in the car. SO when I heard about Project Chemo Crochet, I decided to use that "free time" and a talent my mom taught me as a child to help others. People I talk to about it just can't believe that the blankets are free. Keep up the good work!!

I had seen an article in the local newspaper about this project just after it began. Being an avid crocheter, I have found an outlet not only for my hobby, but to get the opportunity to do something good for someone I didn't even know.

I was SO surprised when I got a blanket in the mail during my own battle with cancer. I do not know who nominated me, but it was so touching to receive it. I used it during my chemo treatments and was comforted to know I was surrounded by the prayers and well-wishes of not only the person who gave it to me, but by every stitch in the blanket. I have since nominated others to receive a blanket, and they got them quickly and were just as touched as I was. Such a little thing that can mean so much!

Pink Warriors/Project Chemo Crochet is an amazing organization! I was recently diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer (Bone Mets) after being a 7-year breast cancer survivor. The most comforting thing that has happened in my life since beginning chemo again was receiving my gorgeous, handmade blanket! The love, talent, and prayers that went into creating my cozy blanket not only warms my body during chemo treatments, but fills my soul with joy, as well! Nicole and her army of volunteers are nothing short of magnigicent! I was so honored to be a recipient of one of their beautiful creations, and I will cherish it always. I am classified as Stage 4, and oneday when I am no longer on this earth, I know my son will feel my love and comfort from heaven, when he wraps himself in my Project Chemo Crochet blanket! Thank you all! Love, Cindy Devlin

What an amazing group of people. I requested a blanket for a friend of mine and within days she received it and was finding comfort using it. The kindness of all of those who volunteer and make this happen....there are just know words to describe other than a group of Angels making a difference in this world, one person at a time.

Thank you for all you do.

When I first found out about Project Chemo Crochet my mom was battling cancer. I nominated her for a blanket and she received one in the mail. She was so happy to get the surprise and she absolutely loves it. She is still battling and using the beautiful blanket. I also nominated a friend who was also very surprised and ecstatic to receive this beautiful blanket with a beautiful message inside from the people that do this day in and day out for strangers. I have helped stitch a blanket for someone to receive. I think they are Amazing and deserve the recognition they deserve.. Stitch on Project Chemo Crochet..

I have been involved with Pink Warriors/Project Chemo Crochet for more than a year, stitching together the blankets made from donated squares. A cancer journey is a surreal experience of doctor appointments, tests, treatment rooms, test results, and what-ifs. Project Chemo Crochet allows the person to receive a gift of physical warmth and comfort, for that journey, which is stitched together with love and positive energy. Hopefully the recipient can feel the support of the many people involved in creating the blanket. Love in a warm blanket....where else but Pink Warriors/Project Chemo Crochet?

Pink Warriors has been an amazing support system for people all over the country. I have requested 4 blankets for people battling cancer and each one was done with love and care. One family friend was buried in it that's how much it meant to her.

Do you know that warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you do something for a person in need? Pink Warriors gave me that warm, fuzzy feeling when my friends Tricia and Ri Ri received their blankets! They were moved to tears by the generosity of total strangers and the loving work that went into their blankets. They are literally wrapped in love while getting their treatments. They were amazed as am I, that these blankets are free of charge and shipped in a very quick manner. The work this charity does is nothing less than a miracle for chemo patients everywhere. Blankets made with love shipped to people who could use every bit of sunshine and warmth in their time of need. Thank you Pink Warriors, you made me look good and you made my friends feel really special and loved!

As a cancer survivor, I know that sitting in the chemo chair, or laying at home in bed for hours or days on end can be long, lonely, and tiring. Being involved in Project Chemo Crochet has been great because I know first hand that cancer patients will get to look at the afghan wrapped around them and realize that many people worked to create the warmth and love that is keeping them warm. Since each blanket is made out of hand stitched 9 x 9 squares, every blanket is different, just as every patient is different, and each treatment for cancer is different. It has been an amazing experience to watch this project grow from an idea to a huge success that has spread nationwide in a year!!! It now has 2 locations for blanket distributions and 9 x 9 square collections! One on the east coast and one on the west coast! If you would like to get involved, you can knit or crochet squares, or you can stitch squares together. Or, you can donate to help defray the cost of shipping. If you know someone with cancer, simply request a blanket! That's it!!

I recently met the founder of Pink Warriors, Inc this summer at Target's All Star a Teachers Program in Minnesota. I was able to hear the vision for this organization from Nichole. She really has a heart and passion to help others and share in the struggle as the patients battle cancer. Her goal is to show compassion and to give some comfort to those afflicted with this terrible disease. May God continue to bless your efforts through Pink Warriors! So proud to know you!

I am one of the many people that makes squares for the blankets that Pink Warriors, Inc sends to chemo patients. It gives me great joy to think that in some small way I am helping someone go through such a difficult time. I have even requested blankets sent to my own friends and they are received with such happiness. This is a great group to work with!

When my sister was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a friend of mine told me about Pink Warriors/Project Chemo Crochet. I sent a request and within days my sister received a beautiful blanket with a note of such love and compassion it brought tears to all of our eyes. Sadly my sister passed away. My mother wanted the blanket to go with her since it meant so much to her so the last thing she did before the casket closed, was to cover my sister with that blanket that she treasured so much. Nicole is an amazing person and I know her mom is so proud of the joy, hope and love that she has given to so many!

My step daughter, Carrie, was the second recipient of a crocheted blanket made from squares donated by individuals from Pennsylvania and now, across the country. She treasured the blanket, and the thoughts, prayers and well wishes that came with it from virtual strangers. It gave comfort as she battled cancer. Carrie lost her four year battle a few months ago, and I am so glad she had that uplifting, happy moment in her life when her blanket arrived. She hadn't known she was "nominated", and so it really was a surprise.

I've watched this non-profit grow since Carrie got her blanket, and even donated some squares myself. It's a wonderful, organic, way a small, personal contribution from one person can join with others to provide comfort to those who really need the boost. Well done!
