As the founder and Board Chair since the organization's inception in 1998, I can say that The Lazarus Project, Inc. is something that I am most proud of in my personal and professional life. The program truly provides an environment of support to enable homeless individuals to identify challenges in their lives so they can make better and more effective choices. This is not a shelter or a hand out, but rather a network of housing and supportive services to assist individuals to improve their lives.

The Lazarus Project, Inc. is an amazing organization that provides permanent, supportive housing to men and women in Placer County. I have been involved with this program since its beginning and have watched it grow into a highly respected and extremely effective nonprofit. We are providing a service that is much needed in Placer County. Our participants are able to get the help they need to get their lives back on track. We have had so many success stories! Many of our former participants are now volunteering to help and mentor current paricipants. The Lazarus Project is transforming lives!

I have been affiliated with The Lazarus Project over the past 13 years and have been continually impressed with the success of the organization. The mission of the organization is to bring the impoverished of Placer County to self sufficency and it has reached this objective many times over. I have personally seen lives transformed and have witnessed many people who had reached rock bottom have their lives changed because of this organization. This organization is a blessing just not for the participants but for all of Placer County.
