I started my training in December of 2022 to become a volunteer. I was quite impressed that such detail is taken in educating the volunteers, from how to handle confidentiality, hard situations and information to help you successfully communicate with clients.
I provide guidance to clients for Parent University and the training videos are amazing! I have learned things to help myself deal with grandchildren and other children I come in contact with at church. Very good information for anyone who deals with children.
Helping young mothers and giving them the confidence to be a good parent is vital and I am thankful for the donors who support this program.
I volunteered here for almost 5 years. Great group of women who love everyone that walks through the doors. Free sonograms, free STD testing, free pregnancy tests, free prenatal vitamins, free parenting classes and they also give free diapers and formula to those in need. I can't recommend them enough. Even when women have chosen to have abortions, the women here still follow up and love on them with no judgment.

I am an office support volunteer. For the past 4 years, I have had the privilege of working with an amazing group of dedicated people. Every day starts with prayer for our ministry and our families and friends. All clients are valued and respected. It is a joy when a client chooses life! We also receive visits from the new moms and babies! It is a blessing to be a part of this life-saving ministry.
I was looking for a place to donate new baby items and discovered Choices Pregnancy Services located in Coraopolis. When my husband and I dropped off the items we knew we entered a special place. The atmosphere is so inviting, and the people who work there are consistently and genuinely full of life, joy, and respect. I was so moved by the staff and the professionalism with which they provide such great, free services, that I decided to volunteer regularly with them. I have witnessed the respect, care, compassion, and professionalism with which the Choices staff and volunteers treat each and every client, and it inspires me each time I'm at the center. The clients, who are often in very difficult situations, receive the top care from people who genuinely desire and support their very best, most abundant life. Contrary to what the mainstream media is portraying about such nonprofit organizations, Choices proves that this center is as pro-woman as a place can get (not to mention pro-man, pro-child, and pro-community!). Come in and see for yourself that these people are the real deal, that the services are top-quality, and that the hope of even greater things to come is a very real possibility for all clients.
I am a volunteer RN at the center and it is absolutely the most amazing place I have ever had the privilege of working at. It is such a blessing to be a part of a place where every client is welcomed and loved and cared for with the utmost respect. The clients themselves tell us they love to come there because everyone is so nice and there is no judgement. It is wonderful to see clients bring their friends back too because they know they'll be helped. And how wonderful to see God so at work there helping women choose life for their babies.
Choices makes our community better! Through education, real support, and compassionate, personalized health care this NPO is offering something intangible to our clients....HOPE! When clients leave they are empowered by the knowledge, care and love they have received. As a volunteer, numerous times I have heard statements from clients similar to these...
"May I leave a donation? What you all are doing is great." "I felt so comfortable...no one judged me." "I love it here...or I love (insert name...client advocate)."
Many of the clients will stop by months later to thank Choices staff & volunteers for being there for them through tough times. And as a volunteer, I feel very blessed to be given the opportunity to work with those that come through our doors. Maybe tomorrow, someone I love will need the help provided through Choices (as they have in the past). I will continue to support Choices...because people need help and hope.
Last fall I got involved with a committee at church. Choices was one of our organizations we contribute to. Then their Director, Keri spoke at church. After some phone calls and prayers I signed up to volunteer. Training and working with this team has been a blessing in so many ways. The knowledge of what Choices offers and the Lord's work that's done there is gratifying. After nine months, I have seen the Lord work in many ways. The excellent staff, training and interacting with those in need have enhanced my ability to do Gods work.
Choices Pregnancy Center is an organization whose leaders, staff, volunteers, and speakers add value to others with love, support, education, understanding, and wisdom . The numerous life changing stories have brought many tears to my eyes as well as hope in humanity. Many young men and women who have chosen to choose life for their children have witnessed to others the truly amazing gift that God has given them, the gift of life. These young families have come to understand that they are not being judged, they are being loved and are learning that faith, love, and hope are the building blocks in their lives. God makes no mistakes for these children who were planned will someday be great leaders and the credit goes to the Choices Pregnancy Centers for being so bold and selfless to share how important these children are to all of us. This organization is truly blessed with special people!
I am a physician assistant who works in Gynecology, that volunteers at Choices twice a month. I have never been more impressed with the desire and hearts these people have to serve others with such compassion! Unlike our office where you have limited time with patients, Choices gives every client the time they need. There is no pressure, and clients feel safe there. They know these people truly want to help them and have their best interest at heart. I have only been there for about a year now, but I have seen alot of lives impacted in that short time frame for the better. This is the way medicine is supposed to be, not impersonal visits with limits on time or what can be offered based on insurances or cost...it should be all about the patient. Choices has made me a better practitioner, and more aware to the need of these types of facilities. So many women and girls are in need the information and services offered here! I am proud to be a part of it!
I have been a volunteer for administrative support at Choices Pregnancy Services once a week for the past nine years. Each Monday I am amazed at the consistent loving support of the employees for each client that enters the doors. I am in charge of tabulating the reviews that each client fills out after an appointment. The reviews are always glowing! Each client is overwhelmed by the caring compassionate non-judgmental way that they were treated. There is no doubt that Choices Pregnancy Services should be considered as a "GREAT" non-profit.
