Access Partnership truly meets the needs of our communities , not only in the Hampton Roads area, but also globally, assisting third world countries. We have helped typhoon victims and the nuns in nursing homes in the Philippines . Donations of healthcare equipment, suture kits, incontinence and diabetes supplies have gone a long way with the care of the underserved people. They truly are providing a much needed service to all.
Governance, stewardship and innovation are key competencies for Access Partnership and these skills insure that investors, donors and volunteers get a great return on their investments. Client satisfaction is regularly measured and is consistently high -- as is the satisfaction of "members" of the Partnership. Solid leadership, an engaged and active board and consistent progress in building regional support with non-traditional partners contribute to the sustainability and success of Access Partnership.
I am thankful for Access Partnership because...it is true to its mission. This is no small thing. Access Partnership's leadership and administrative support team truly have a purpose and understand that purpose. The objectives for the organization are clear and in alignment with the mission. Working towards and accomplishing these measurable objectives means that its mission is living and breathing. On a weekly basis, evident are the connections among the proverbial dots connecting the actions of Access Partnership's team and needs being met in our communities. Access Partnership makes a difference and that difference is clear. Access Partnership as an organization is professionally led with a compassion for those they are serving and a true, heartfelt belief in their mission. Access Partnership has a modest, down-to-earth demeanor and this is a reflection of the leadership. In these days where many non-profits are slick in marketing their accomplishments one must be carful about being oversold. Access Partnership is about the substance of facilitating access and that is where they focus their resources and energy; image and marketing is secondary to the mission. In one word, I am thankful because Access Partnership is genuine.
