Mission: Soi Dog Foundation USA supports and promotes the animal welfare efforts of Soi Dog Foundation, a legally registered charitable organization based in Phuket, Thailand. Soi Dog Foundation mission statement: Improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, resulting in better lives for both the animal and human communities, to create a society without homeless animals and to ultimately end animal cruelty.
Results: Over 1 million dogs and cats sterilized, elimination of the dog meat trade in Thailand, building the first hospital in Asia dedicated to the treatment of stray and abandoned animals and meat trade rescues, thousands of rescued dogs adopted into loving homes.
Target demographics: Support and promote the efforts of Soi Dog Foundation in Southeast Asia. www.soidog.org
Direct beneficiaries per year: Neuter and vaccinate almost 200,000 dogs and cats, provide veterinary treatment to over 17,000 animals, deliver hundreds of tons of food and urgent supplies to tens of thousands of stricken animals affected by natural and man-made disasters, save dogs and cats from the meat trade in the Philippines.
