Mission: NWFS' mission is to support family stability, child well-being, and victims of crime by focusing on the social determinants of health. Our program areas include behavioral health, housing, health navigation, youth empowerment, and basic needs. We also run the only culturally-specific domestic violence shelter in Oregon that focuses on Latina women and their children. Most of our services are provided in both English and Spanish.
Results: With more than 40 years of experience in education and social services, NWFS has a deep commitment to the success of youth and families. NWFS annually serves more than 10,000 youth and adults. Key Facts and Accomplishments: 1) NWFS has been on the 100 BEST Oregon Non-Profits to Work For list 12 times, and on the 100 BEST Oregon Green Businesses six times. 2) What distinguishes NWFS is our ability to be nimble in this changing world without sacrificing the quality of service. 3) Since NWFS has a wide range of services, it allows us to provide for the multiple needs of the participants we serve in a single setting.
