CSIX is an excellent job networking resource! Everyone who is part of a member is ready to extend themselves to help others in searching for a job. Very productive, friendly organization that truly gets people connected.
CSIX Connect is an awesome organization focused on helping people find their next professional role. I was initially leary of the organization because I thought there must be a catch. However, after participating In number of its meetings, hikes, lectures and lunches, I discovered that the CSIX folks are truly focused on helping others find the next chapter in their careers via the power of networking. Hamid, the founder of the group, is genuinely dedicated to helping others and going way above and beyond to do so. I highly recommend CSIX Connect to anyone in the Siliocn Valley area who is looking for their next professional opportunity.
Chatting over a light lunch is a great way to network while job hunting. Hamid is the gracious host who gently pushes us to mix and share leads. His speakers are informative and inspirational. My resume gets positive comments now based directly on the advice given at CSIX. This is a networking group worth the time and effort.
By the way, I am employed now.
The best organization helping people in Silicon Valley learn effective job searching, networking and self-marketing skills that I know of is CSix in Saratoga, California. They provided me with a place to go to help myself and others and helped me find a great job during the deepest part of the recession in 2009.
CSIX offers support to those searching for careers, especially those in high tech in Silicon Valley. They offer lectures, workshops, special events, and lots of opportunities to network.
Great way to connect. Organization of the meetings, presentations and networking is done extremely well.
From this forum, I launched a CSIX SIX SIGMA SIG which spanned several months and resulted in a self study program to prepare for the CSSBB exam for certification. A few completed the self study resulting in CSSBB certifications.
CSIX Connect is a non-fee networking, lead sharing, and job search organization that has been helping people connect with and win employment opportunities for several years. The format is weekly meetings that offer networking, lead sharing, networking, relevant speakers, and more networking to people seeking employment. Did I mention networking? Unemployment is lonely, confusing, and scary. CSIX helps people through it. I have used CSIX as a referral for students, participants in my resume preparation classes, and job seekers in my role as placement specialist. And I love the fee structure which includes daily emails of opportunities: Zero. This is a valuable and worthy organization.
