Cozy Cat Cottage helped us with a litter of kittens we found outside last year. I had two house bunnies and two cats of my own (all spayed/neutered), plus five foster baby bunnies and unfortunately the inn was too full to keep the kittens long term. A very helpful volunteer at Cozy Cat gave me some tips on bottle feeding, litter training and weaning to wet and then dry food. Once the kittens were weaned to dry food I took them to Cozy Cat where they were vetted and adopted. When I brought the kittens to Cozy Cat, a different volunteer showed me around and talked about their facility, answered random questions from me and let me meet some of the cat residents. On another occasion one of their volunteers helped me rescue a stray black cat on Halloween Eve in a busy parking garage in downtown Columbus. She crawled all over the cement floor with me dragging a scarf to lure the terrified cat from under cars. We have a full house right now, but I would work with Cozy Cat again any time for Good Samaritan surrenders or to adopt. I hope they are still around in 15 or 20 years when it's time to add to our family again.
