My husband died last year and I couldn't afford health insurance so this program has helped me alot.
I am so thankful for the blessing. My daughter became sick in 2008, lost my job in 2010 and my daughter. I haven't been taking care of myself because I had no way of doing so, no income. My younger children receive Medicaid but I couldn't get it. Thanks so much again for this blessing. Knowing that if I need medical care it is here for me since I still have younger children to take care of
I am a single female that lost job & health insurance and have not been able to afford insurance since Access Partnership has allowed me to get examined by doctors and have gave me a chance to get the care that I need. I am very grateful for this program and I thank everyone who volunteers (doctors, nurses, program workers, for everything they have done for me. Thank you Access Partnership for caring!
I have been unable to work since March 2007, due to multiple disabling conditions. This program can help me get the medical care that I desperately need, but cannot afford!
Review from patient enrolled in the Community Access to Care Program: Very helpful in keeping people healthy
My father was in need of medical equipment after recently breaking his hip. Access Partnership not only located a scooter for him but drove a long distance to pick it up and deliver it to my father's home! They are so professional and kind and giving! They are a true blessing to our community! Thank-you so very much!
I can't thank you all enough for the new life you gave me. I use to be so ashamed to open my mouth and talk to people but now my cheek's are sore from smiling so much again. Thank you!
The Community Access to Care Program is an excellent program that I am very grateful for. I always get great service and I am always confident of great healthcare. Thank you Thank you so much!
I am so thankful for the Community Access to Care Program! I am currently unemployed and have no means to obtain health insurance. I am so grateful for this program more than my words can express.
So great working with you this weekend. I can't say it enough: I'm just so impressed with how organized and good the dental event was, no small undertaking and you did it so smoothly and professionally. I've been telling everyone about it.
I appreciate all of your assistance. I am hoping to get well so that I can join the medical field. I am a recent graduate from Fortis College for medical assistance before I got sick. I never got a chance to work.
I really appreciate the Community Access to Care program, it has helped me to get the medical care that I need for my health. Thank you very much!
Thank you for keeping me in your email list. My mother is very ill and your information has an entirely different meaning and I'm pleased to see such a resource – both for affordable equipment and where I can donate…
Hello my name is Fern and I just wanted to let you know how much Access Partnership has given me peace of mind. I had broken my ankel and worried about how I was going to pay the hospital bill. I found out about them thru the ACC clinic in Norfolk. I also have dental issues and they are helping with services for that as well. Thank You for your support in helping people in need.
The compassion and commitment to serve by the leadership and staff of Access Partnership is readily apparent to all those who have had the benefit of being associated with the organization. They are truly making a difference in the lives of individuals everyday and with all that they do.
Working for Access Partnership as well as being a recipient in their program has been such a blessing to me personally. To be able to help people with medical and dental needs that they would have otherwise not had ,.has been one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. I love going to work knowing I'm truly making a difference in the lives of others.
I want to thank you for the services you put out in helping others. Access Partnership connected me to a very generous donor named Diane. She was such a blessing in helping with my cousin Norman Powers and my mother. Norman was a prisoner of the Korean war, and was caged like a dog for 27 months his knees to his chest. He has not slept in a bed for a long time because the bed that he had was an older version and wasn't comfortable. Also want to thank Diane for the very expensive lift chair that she gave me for my mother whom is stage 4 COPD and struggles to get up when her breathing is bad and can't lay down when having breathing problems. Thank you, Treva C
Access Partnership is a wonderful non-profit helping the uninsured in Hampton Roads gain access to healthcare they would not otherwise have access to. This program deserves more attention so it can better reach those in need in the community. Upon learning about Access Partnership, I have heard numerous positive reviews from clients served. This program is touching so many lives in such a positive way. Keep up the great work Access Partnership!
Thankful to have this organization in Hampton Roads! They identify gaps in the health safety net and work very hard to find solutions. Their services are used by many Case Managers to obtain medical and dental care, DME, nutritional supplements and other resources that patients don't have funds to cover.
My son was referred to Main Street Physicians in Suffolk for dental work he badly needed by Ms. Hall of Access Partnership. I called them and they were able to see him within a week . There is a small co-pay involved but the Dentist was very nice . Even though we live in Va Beach the trip is worth it since my son needs a lot of dental work done. Thanks again to Ms. Hall and Access Partnership .
I have been in your Community Access to Care Program for over a year and am getting cataract surgery next week. I would never be able to afford this if it were not for your program. The woman I have spoke to several times on the phone is very nice and always very helpful. I appreciate everything everyone has done for me and everyone in the program. Thanks again for your time and generosity.
Everyone has been so helpful and nice. The opportunity to maybe get some help for a problem that will soon be an emergency and to get help is so appreciated.
Thank you for mailing and following up with me on this great blessing. The process was made so easy. You all are great!
I believe the Community Access to Care Program will help by providing good quality care for their patients, Help people that's uninsured. I believe this will be a wonderful program!
Had run into financial patch – could not get dental work. I had infection in my gums and was missing my front teeth. I had all my teeth pulled and dentures.
I got married and during marriage my teeth were always getting worse and there was never money for dental work. I was sent to a dentist by Access Partnership. The dentist was great and greatest dentist ever. This really helped my relationship with my son too. My son was so embarrassed to be with me and my rotten teeth. I can now smile and even say how wonderful it feels to look at my self. They were able to save all but one tooth. Never had pain. It was really awesome!
Very good – could not afford dental care. I had always had cleanings done regularly but could not afford extra work. I got a new partial and bridgework. I am extremely pleased with the dentist, very good, brilliant dentist!
I was in so much pain with my medical problem and dental problem. I called 13 phone numbers to get help and no one would help me until I reached Access Partnership. Access Partnership promised to help me until problem is resolved and they have. They referred me to a dentist who referred me to an oral surgeon. There are alot of people with no or too little health insurance and this dentist and oral surgeon took the time to help me. These are all great people.
Donated Dental Services is a wonderful excellent program. I have shared my story with many people because I feel so blessed. I want to encourage more dentists to donate and I have referred my friends to the dentist that helped me. Very, very pleased!
Wonderful, I can eat again and smile with no pain! I hate dentists but this dentist was so gentle and caring. He pulled 8 teeth with no pain. I smile everyday and put my teeth in my mouth everyday.
I have Alzheimer's and my husband gave up his job to care for me so no money so being able to get fillings and my teeth cleaned by a dentist has helped me greatly.
I was in a bad accident 30 years ago and I spent so much on medical expenses that there was no money left to take care of my dental needs. Through the medications that I was taking for my medical needs, my teeth rotted. I looked for help for many years for my teeth. Through Access Partnership's Donated Dental Services Program, I finally had my bottom teeth repaired this morning. The dentist was unbelievable - nicest guy! The whole thing was wonderful.
Wonderful! I had a really bad toothache and I really needed my tooth pulled. I did not know where else to go and Access Partnership helped me.
The Virginia Reuse Network (VRN) is a partnership among state agencies, non-profits, and individuals interested in helping Virginians with disabilities access vital durable medical equipment/assistive technology. The VRN serves Virginians who are uninsured, underinsured, or lack resources to acquire technology on their own. Access Partnership has been an excellent partner in helping our state's assistive technology program (Virginia Assistive Technology System) meet our mission to help individuals have access to and acquire appropriate and affordable assistive technology. The Access Parntership "News Flash" is an excellent resource for durable medical equipment and other community resources. Candie at Access Partnership has helped individuals with disabilities all over the Commonwealth by providing durable medical equipment at no cost. Access Partnership is a strong contributor to our "Virtual Network" and along with our other formal and informal partners, is helping Virginians gain access to needed rehab equipment!
I learned alot from the education class. Thank you Thank you for helping my need. I attempted to kill myself 2 months ago because I had no insurance for medical help.
There are so many people in the US that are struggling to make ends meet. One thing that is so important is your health but usually what happens when a person is short is they fore go health needs. That is what has happened to us. But with Access Partnership we were able to take care of a very important health issue. Thanks so much for being there for our family.
Governance, stewardship and innovation are key competencies for Access Partnership and these skills insure that investors, donors and volunteers get a great return on their investments. Client satisfaction is regularly measured and is consistently high -- as is the satisfaction of "members" of the Partnership. Solid leadership, an engaged and active board and consistent progress in building regional support with non-traditional partners contribute to the sustainability and success of Access Partnership.
This is a great services providing in the Hampton Roads community. The most important thing is that for liminted and low income residents there are resources, but in the past were hard to find. The second issue is the frequency of updates and ease of referring residents to needed services. Fantastic!
Access Partnership has provided resources, information, and services with compassion and professionalism. There services are timely and help meet the needs of the uninsured, community and professional organizations/agencies alike. The weekly updates are informative, from diverse resources, reputable, and much needed. I refer this website to my family, community, and my colleagues often. This is a valuable resource and hope it stays around for a long, long, long time! Keep up the great work. Sharon
What can't I say about Access Partnership...the services they offer are absolutely awesome and much needed. I'm elated to see that finally there are those who understand you can't separate the oral cavity from the rest of the human body...and are now offering dental service to those in the community who have no dental insurance or money to pay for life saving dental treatment.
I am so blessed to have connected with an organization like Access Partnership. A great group of people with supersize hearts for the needs of the less fortunate.
This program is wonderful. We have worked with Access Partnership for over 2 years and we like that we are able to give back to the community and in particular, we like knowing the patients are not only being responsible and accountable for their healthcare, but they are also being educated on how the program and the process works with respect to proper healthcare utilization. I think one of the greatest appeals to collaborating with Access Partnership is that it removed the practice from determining whether or not a patient was indigent and/or met the federal poverty guidelines for charity care. It reduced the administrative time and paperwork required to make this determination and removed the practice as the decision maker on this sensitive issue. Keep doing what you’re doing!
I am thankful for Access Partnership because... This program help so many people that cannot afford health insurance and have serious medical issues that need immediate and prompt attention. Without it their health and quality of life would be greatly diminished. It is truly a service that is well needed in our community. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ACCESS PARTNERSHIP!!!
and all those who help make it a pleasant experience for those seeking help.
I'm thankful for Access Partnership because the company gave me a chance to experience a different job then the one I studied, it gave me room to grow. I got the chance to help people who really needed help.
I am thankful for Access Partnership because...it is true to its mission. This is no small thing. Access Partnership's leadership and administrative support team truly have a purpose and understand that purpose. The objectives for the organization are clear and in alignment with the mission. Working towards and accomplishing these measurable objectives means that its mission is living and breathing. On a weekly basis, evident are the connections among the proverbial dots connecting the actions of Access Partnership's team and needs being met in our communities. Access Partnership makes a difference and that difference is clear. Access Partnership as an organization is professionally led with a compassion for those they are serving and a true, heartfelt belief in their mission. Access Partnership has a modest, down-to-earth demeanor and this is a reflection of the leadership. In these days where many non-profits are slick in marketing their accomplishments one must be carful about being oversold. Access Partnership is about the substance of facilitating access and that is where they focus their resources and energy; image and marketing is secondary to the mission. In one word, I am thankful because Access Partnership is genuine.
Access Partnership is such a great resource! Anytime I have an uninsured, low income client who needs health care services, I can count on this organization to provide guidance & a comprehensive list of community resources. I really appreciate their programs.

Thankful to be working with this wonderful collaboration with a mission to improve access to health care. So many people are in need of services but don't have the financial means to obtain the care they need. Those that are helped are so grateful! I hope to continue with Access Partnership for years to come.
Thank you on behalf of the patients we have referred to you. They have suffered for a long time and feel pretty hopeless about getting health care. Thank you for all your organization does!
The staff is wonderful. Always a phone call to make sure you are reenrolling with the program. All the doctors have been very helpful as well.
Thank you so much for this program! I will now be able to see a specialist I have needed but could not afford to go to. God Bless You!
I attended a free screening for prostate cancer. Brothers, father, and grandfather had prostate cancer. I was fearful of being diagnosed with no income or health insurance. I don't know how I could be cared for without this program.
Thank you so much! I am so thankful for this CPAP machine. I have been in the ER 4 times because of my sleep apnea. I was diagnosed in February and I missed my chance to get a donated CPAP machine in June because I was out of town so when you called today, I was so grateful and came right over. I am getting ready to go on a conference for work so this will be great to have my CPAP machine.
Access Partnership has helped me tremendously. The medical services not only helped me with my blood pressure medications and cholesterol medications.
I am blessed to be both a employee as well as a client served with Access Partnership. I am a full time student studying to work in the healthcare field and a single mother. I work part time after school ehlping with the Community Access to Care Program, and am really enjoying it so far! I started with Candie, Heather and Carrie in the middle of July and they all have been wonderful bosses/coworkers/mentors to me, and have really opened my eyes to giving back to the community. And in fact, when I told Candie that I had not seen a dentist in over a decade she helped me get an appointment at the ODU School of Dental Hygiene so that I could get my teeth cleaned and x-rayed. During my first week with this organization I was already being included to attend meetings and a webinar given by the Virginia Department of Social Services. After attending the webinar, I used the information I learned and applied for assistance online (Common Help). It feels great to make a difference in someone's life and give back to the Hampton Roads Community. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!
Thank you all so much for being there when I needed you. I now have Medicare now that I turned 65 so I no longer need the Community Access to Care Program. But, I don't know if not for the Good Lord and Access Partnership, I don't know what I would have done about getting access to healthcare and my medications and the clinic helping me. Thank you all so very much!
Access Partnership has really been beneficial. It has been financially hard to pay out of pocket for medical expenses. Access Partnership helps the community, has a great website, and provides donated medical supplies and equipment to the community. The Community Access to Care Program is a great program and I am very grateful for it.
You all are a wonderful organization. Keep it up! I am able to pick up donated medical supplies from you such as nutrition supplements and give them to someone in need. I wish I had known about your organization when my father was still alive because when he was ailing he could have benefited from using some of the donated medical supplies and equipment.
This wheelchair will help move my Mom around the house and up so she does not get bed sores. The wheelchair will also help to get my Mom to her doctor's appointments.
This program is helping me meet my health care needs until I return to full-time employment that offers me medical benefits and/or health insurance.
Physicians for Peace partners with Access Partnership when we are offered donations of equipment and supplies that we cannot use to support our mission. Access Partnership connects patients in need with equipment and supplies in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Richmond and even Washington, DC. By working together not only are we able to connect people with equipment and supplies that they need to help with their medical needs but we also keep these supplies and equipment out of our landfills. Hopefully Access Partnership will continue to grow and help many more of our friends and neighbors in the future.
