Access Partnership always seems to be there for my underinsured patients. They often have DME or supplies that the patients need, they also assist with arranging follow-up care and many other things. The leadership of Access Partnership always seems to have her finger on the pulse of what the community needs and will seek community support to provide the needed services.
I have been very impressed with the work done by the Access Partnership when tackling health care issues within our community. The Director of Access Partnership brings great knowledge to the table on community needs. The work the orgnaization does in bringing community partners to the table to provide services to the uninsured and the underinsured. I have used them to locate services for many of the patients I case manage.
As a Registered Nurse Case Manager this organization has provided useful resources for the clientel that I serve.
I am currently working as an intern with this organization. Through my time with the program thus far, I have been able to become more knowledgeable about the community and population that this organization serves. I have been provided the opportunity to learn about the macro and micro sides of social work through working with an organization that looks for change on the client level as well as the organization, community, and state levels. Access Partnership works hard to make changes and impact on a grand scale.
Very good at helping our non-profit access grants and directing patients to us.
I found out about a dental outreach that Access Partnership was helping sponsor. With no dental insurance and no income I have bad teeth. Ive been in and out of pain throughout the last ten years of my life and at this outreach, I was able to have 3 teeth pulled that were causing me the most problems. Since then, I have been pain free.
Without the help and knowledge of Access Partnership I would have missed this free opportunity for dental care.
I joined Access Partnership in June of 2015. Shortly after becoming a member of Access Partnership, I had some severe health complications occur. I never seen these health issues coming yet Access Partnership helped me navigate my health and billing concerns from beginning to end.
The enrollment and eligibility coordinator took time to call and check on my well being regularly, while helping me navigate the mountains of bills that were coming in. By the time is was all said and done, I was able to get my health needs taken care for a very small fraction of what it would have cost otherwise.
I can not thank Access Partnership and it's employees enough for taking the time that they did with me!
This non profit is a valuable asset to this community. Without Access Partnership, I would have never been able to get a shower chair for my husband due to insurance not covering it. With Access Partnership, I received their phone number and confirmed they had one, and they allowed me to pick it up, no questions asked. No copays. No back story. I'm so appreciative for Access Partnership for being able to assist me with something I thought insurance would have helped with.
As an undergraduate social work student, I was selected to intern with Access Partnership for part of my undergraduate intern hours required for graduation. I have learned so much as a student intern with Access Partnership. Additionally, the opportunity to intern led to a job opportunity after graduation. They say you never burn bridges, so I made sure to stay in touch and about 2 weeks after graduation, I received an email about a job opportunity with Access Partnership. I've been with Access Partnership for 9 months now, in addition to the six months I previously interned with the agency.
We've helped hundreds of people gain access to specialist medical and dental care. We also go the extra mile and take donations of gently used medical equipment to give out to those who may need it and be unable to afford it for whatever reason.
Every non profit has its values... Access Partnership is valuable because we connect people to care they may otherwise have not received.
I am greatly appreciative to have been awarded the chance to intern for this wonderful organization. I witnessed firsthand its impression on the community and how valuable it is to their patients. I believe this organization is doing something remarkable and can only get bigger from here. I never thought I would be so appreciated by so many people but patients let us know daily how much Access Partnership means to them and how the work I am doing impacts their lives.
I am very impressed by the mission of this organization and the many ways in which they serve the community and improve access to healthcare. Candice Driskell, the executive director, shows great passion for serving the community and has dedicated her time to helping those in need. This is an impressive collaboration by an extraordinary lineup of stakeholders- Sentara hospital, United Way, & Bon Secours to name a very few- all of which should be applauded for their contribution.
