crisis center-188 women and children received emergency shelter, for a total of 3004 nights of shelter; 103 individuals received counseling services; 370 received advocacy services; 116 were given legal assistance and assisted with filing protective orders at the courthouse and 45 community education presentations and/or trainings were presented to 2165 community members. The average stay for clients in the shelter was 28 days. 11% of the clients had a job upon entering the shelter; 18% had a job upon leaving; 18% of the clients staying at the shelter increased their income from admission to discharge (becoming employed, receiving food stamps and tanf) ; 100% utilized community resources while staying at the shelter; 98% had an improvement in their condition from admission to discharge and 99% of the clients received advocacy services.
