Programs: Childcare - the northern york county family ymca provides high quality state licensed child care by providing comprehensive activities for preschool and school age children drawing from a diverse sampling of the community. Woven into the fabric of the ymca is a commitment to strengthening families. Ymca childcare programs relieve the burden of balancing work and family and make it possible for the parents of children in the program to remain gainfully employed, knowing that their children are thriving in a safe, developmentally sound environment.
aquatics for youth and adults- helping people of all ages and abilities develop health and confidence in spirit, mind and body is at the core of the ymca philosophy and the ymca world-wide movement. Aquatics programs are designed to help participants create and strive toward realistic goals for self-improvement. Acquatics includes interscholastic athletics that promote teamwork, interaction, sportsmanship, and the development of social and physical skills.
health and fitness programs for youth and adults and all other outreach programs to encourage people of all ages and abilities to develop life long health skill practices in order to maintain a life long health perspective spiritually, mentally, and physically. These programs are designed to help people create and maintain realistic goals for self-improvement and they emphasize disease control, obesity prevention, and healthy nutrition habits.
