We provide both full and part-time options to serve a wide range of family scheduling needs. The ymca provides tuition assistance for childcare services. Participants during the year were 630. Community benefits in the amount of $163,543 were given to eligible families to reduce their children expenses. The camping program provides a lasting experience of personal enrichment. Day camps offer adventure and learning activities that provide challenges and promote spiritual awareness, mental development, physical well-being, social growth, and self-respect.
health and wellness for youth and adults: the ymca provides programs to help people of all ages develop health in body, mind, and spirit. The programs are designed to help people create realistic goals for self-improvement and emphasize disease prevention through regular exercise, proper nutrition, stress management, and health education. Sports programs for youth, families, and adults promote teamwork, interaction, and development of social and physical skills. These services are offered at affordable fees to the community at large. Participants served during the year were 20,396. Community benefits in the amount of $496,141 were given to qualified members to assist in membership service fees.
youth development programs: ymca youth and teen programs give kids good role models to help them develop self-esteem and good values, including cooperation, respect, good citizenship, and a strong work ethic. The first tee program introduces young people of all backgrounds to the game of golf and its inherently positive values, from respect and integrity to individual responsibility and sportsmanship. Participants served during the year were 5,710. Community benefits in the amount of $97,945 were given to eligible youth to help ease the costs of attending day camps and first tee programs.
