I'm currently a Captain at the DeKalb RYDC. I love attending her writing groups with the youth. We have so many talented youth at our facility and it was very fun to be a part of something so great and got their talented wheels in their brains turning. Our youth that we serve are not bad youth, they are our youth that have made bad decisions. She's great with the kids!!!!
Writing Our Wrongs (WOW) is a dynamic movement! I cannot simply label it a non-profit. The impact of the programming empowers the youth to understand and utilize their voice to bring about change in their schools as well as their communities through writing and speaking. I call WOW participants the new civil movement as the voice of their generation concerning issues of social injustice and bullying. With this organization, the world could truly be changed for the better.
Writing Our Wrongs Incorporated is amazing organization that serves as an outlet for teens to express themselves in a positive way. Writing Our Wrongs (WOW) was a partnering organization with P.U.R.S.E. Foundation and made a huge impact and difference in the lives on young girls, with the organizations empowering message to help teens cope with adversity in a positive way, I would highly recommend Writing Our Wrongs Inc to schools and communities to utilize their services for your sons and daughters.
Writing our Wrongs visited the Horizons at Georgia Tech After School Program and provided a well needed workshop to our students. The speaker was very engaging and provided valuable information for the youth in the program. I especially loved the pledge cards. I would highly recommend other youth serving organizations to connect with Writing Our Wrongs, because I saw the benefit to our students. I know this program has the ability to impact the lives of any youth the experience the program.
Being a volunteer with Writing Our Wrongs, Inc. is always an rewarding experience. Writing Our Wrongs, Incorporated brings awareness to the youth to stand up against anti-bullying and social injustice by expressing their voices through the "power of the pen". I feel that Melissa D. White, founder of Writing Our Wrongs, Inc has taken on a much bigger role in reaching back to the youth to help them understand that they as well have a voice to speak among their peers to initiate change in their groups, schools and community. I always appreciate the opportunity to volunteer with this organization. Great Job Melissa D. White.
